I started at midnight when doors just opened. I always find it nice to start a night with no one in the club and set the mood for the next hours. Grelle Forelle is a perfect club for those kinds of nights. Great sound system, great venue and great crowd. A club run by truly passionate people. Always love playing there and doing an open to close set is quite a journey with sometimes some unexpected twists and turns. You never know really what the next hour will be like, you kind of have an idea, but it changes according to moods and new ideas. This was a 6h journey and here is the third one. Hope you enjoy!

Vor 18 Jahren im Frühjahr 2006 stand ich mit rund 100 gebrauchten Ebay-Schallplatten eines Nachts im Wooloo Mooloo Bay Hotel (heute Club Hilde) und spielte zum ersten Mal als DJ vor Publikum. Danach erlaubte man mir öfters mit meinen Schallplatten dort aufzulegen, und so wuchs allmählich eine junge wilde Elektroszene von Party zu Party immer mehr zusammen. Ich kann mich noch gut an die legendären Vibes erinnern, die durch bekannte Elektro- und Techno Hymnen aus dieser Zeit für Freude und Ekstase sorgten. Musikproduzenten die ich damit meine sind z.B.: Booka Shade, Wighnomy Brothers, Moonbootica, Sébastien Léger, Pleasurekraft u.v.m. Wenn ich persönlich an diese Zeit zurückdenke, kommt es mir so vor, als seien wir die Pioniere gewesen die sich dafür stark gemacht haben, dass die elektronische Musik- und Clubkultur im Coburger Nachtleben ihren Platz findet. Ich weiß noch wie in manchen dieser Nächte im Wooloo Keller der Schweiß nur so von der Decke tropfte und wir am Ende der Party alle komplett durchnässt waren. Schöne Erinnerungen.

Leider ist nun der Moment gekommen für immer Abschied zu nehmen. Abschied nehmen von diesem für mich sehr besonderen Ort im Steinweg 25. Coburg verliert damit eine einzigartige Club Location. Der Keller in der Hilde war 2006 genau jener Raum in dem ich zum ersten Mal DJ bzw. Kapelle sein durfte.

Es ist mein Wunsch mich mit einem allerletzten DJ-Set von dieser Location gebührend zu verabschieden. Dieses Club-Closing bewegt mich emotional tatsächlich tief in der Seele. Ähnlich empfand ich das nur beim Berliner Tresor als dieser 2005 für ein neues Hochhaus Platz machen musste.

Zu hören bin ich hier Samstag Nacht 28.09.2024 von 1 - 2:30 Uhr mit einem kurzen b2b mit meiner Frau Nicole (Lee Riks) 2:30 - 3:10 Uhr.
