Ein Jahr Resident Mix

"Hallucinate" was officially released on November 25th, 2016 through MGM Distribution. 

Melbourne based electronic singer-songwriter and producer, Youthfire, shares stories about his personal life through compositions that have a warped sense of New Wave, 80’s nostalgia. Having spent the last three years writing, refining, and crafting his songs from his bedroom studio after relocating from Brisbane to Melbourne, Youthfire will release new single ‘Hallucinate’ via MGM on November 25.
 
Written after a breakup, Youthfire wanted to write a song that reflected his my own personal experiences of coming out, whilst exploring themes around transition and evolution, and the importance of being true to yourself.

“Hallucinate is a song that I’ve lived with for the last two years. At the time, I began watching every single LGBTIQA+ movie that I could find. I stumbled across the film “Edge Of Seventeen” (1998) and related with the main protagonist and the experiences he went through in coming out. This had a profound affect on me, inspiring me to write the track.”

Tober&Tober ( Alle Tanzen // Hannover ) presents Afterhour Sounds Podcast Nr.102

Blut ist bekanntlich dicker als Wasser und Familie ist ein Bund fürs Leben. Dass dies nicht nur leere Phrasen sind leben und lieben Simon und Marvin so leidenschaftlich vor wie es nur sein kann. So verwundert es auch nicht, dass das gemeinschaftliche Erlebnis für die beiden einen hohen Stellenwert besitzt. 

Seit nun etwas mehr als 5 Jahren stehen die beiden gebürtigen Hildesheimer Jungs Seite an Seite - sowohl vor als auch hinter den Decks und frönen ihrer gemeinsamen Liebe - die elektronische Musik. Etwa zur gleichen Zeit riefen sie auch ihre eigene Partyreihe namens ‘Alle Tanzen’ ins Leben, welche sich in den zurückliegenden Jahren zu einer absoluten Erfolgsgeschichte entwickelt hat. Gemeinsam mit ihren Freunden von Nackt auf Tahiti und Into the Woods Germany haben sie in der Kulturfabrik Löseke Hildesheim ein Zuhause gefunden, welches sie seither unzählige Male mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail verzaubert und so zu einer absoluten Top-Adresse in Mitteldeutschlands Clubkultur gemacht haben. 

Als DJ & Produzenten brennen Simon und Marvin ebenso leidenschaftlich für ihre Sache und so verwundert es auch nicht dass auch ihr musikalisches Schaffen von einer unbändigen Qualität geprägt ist. Dabei ergänzen sich die Jungs wirklich wie Yin und Yang und das hört und fühlt man bei ihrem Sound auf ganz besondere Weise. Ihr Podcast für unsere Reihe macht da keine Ausnahme - ein Set mit dem Prädikat ‘Weltklasse’ und nein da übertreiben wir ganz sicher nicht, aber davon könnt ihr euch gern selbst überzeugen.

i wrote this album from my own perspective of relationships I've had in winter, as well as what I've gone through and grown through emotionally as an adult. i recently had broken up with my ex-girlfriend and was going through a lonely period of time, even when i was with her -  i thought id channel a lot of what i was feeling about lost love as well as seasonal depression

doing things differently, i went for a more synth pop lo-fi feel.
all my life I've just wanted to express thoughts and emotions with art and I'm glad i can do that and i hope you can resonate with this somehow
