This week's Spin City saw me on hosting duties for one of my absolute favourite dj's on the planet - Les Inferno. I kicked things off with a set that doesn't beak 100bpmbefore handing over to Les to close the show. And boy, did he deliver. Les will treat you to an absolute masterclass. This set has everything. Dans son disque "Dr Bolivard", Bolivard a trouvé un exutoire à sa névrose. Sous la forme d'une auto-thérapie, il y incarne à la fois le psychologue et le patient. Par ce biais, il se questionne de manière crue et sincère sur différents sujets existentiels et sociétaux (la pauvreté, le sens de la vie, la dépression…) entre réflexion sérieuse et humour sarcastique. Le but étant d'aborder des sujets difficiles avec amusement et légèreté.

Il dépeint une société angoissée par la guerre, la politique, la solitude, la vieillesse, le devenir de la planète, et tous les défauts du monde, jusqu’à vouloir modifier la réalité, l'améliorer. Une époque qui veut sauver tout ce qu’elle refuse de perdre, peu importe si c’est contradictoire (« Sauvons) », quitte à vouloir vaincre la mort avec le transhumanisme (« Réalité », « La mort »). Le personnage de Dr. Bolivard, quant à lui, propose ses solutions musicales, prônant une réconciliation entre l’Homme et la réalité imparfaite. Dans ses clips filmés ou animés, qu'il réalise de A à Z, il aborde ces thèmes de manière symbolique, parfois absurde ("La vie", "Sauvons") rappelant son idole Quentin Dupieux.
