Italian hard techno DJ and producer MAIKE DEPAS (Michelangelo De Pasquale) has emerged as one of the scene’s most promising new voices. Inspired by artists like Skrillex and Martin Garrix, he began DJing at just 11 years old and later deepened his craft with classical training at the Milan Conservatory and lessons at Berlin’s Funkhaus. His sound blends 1990s trance with the intensity of hard techno, shaped by influences such as Kobosil and Amelie Lens. Raised in Milan’s art world, Depas developed a deep appreciation for creative expression, despite facing cultural resistance to his unconventional path. Early gigs in Milan’s clubs laid the foundation for his now-evolving artistic vision.

2024 marked a major turning point, with a full audio-visual relaunch of the MAIKE DEPAS project. Highlights include a dystopian-themed live set at Berlin’s Teufelsberg, a fashion collaboration with cyberpunk designer Demobaza, and releases on Mattia Trani’s Pushmaster Discs.
