Our current quality of time is a very special one. To be more precisely it contains the potential for mankind to find inner clarity. But before human can reach these light of knowledge and balance, everyone have to break through the mental fog in himself. In order to clear the mind out of fog people have to deal with their hidden fears, convictions and deep-seated beliefs. This cleanup process may seem stressful, difficult, even impossible in places. However, this path is worth all the efforts. The result is a self-confident person with a well tuned inner compass. 

This Track is the first official single release on KataHaifisch. Seven minutes long Christian Hülshoff take us on a melancholic trip through the deep spheres of emotions and feelings. A mysterious Piano embedded from atmospheric sounds and a vocal guide us through the different parts of our inner selves. Nebel is a little helper to enjoy the sometimes stressful path of life.

The title track "Morning Sun" gives people the impression of waking up early in the morning after a good and fulfilling sleep, somewhere in India. It's spring time, the sun is rising, you can hear birds chirping outside everywhere. Although this is the general atmosphere, the lush and atmospheric sitar, the chopped vocals, marble sounds and a subtle touch of tabla are adding a rather darker and hypnotic vibe to the track.

Bibimbab was taken up by Tim Tenckhoff, who gave the song a clear, crispy-rough atmosphere. In between all the elements Science has already charted and discovered, there are still many we have not yet identified. Nature, and the universe for that matter, still hides many concepts that we have not yet visited or studied, and there exist combinations of those concepts and elements that we haven’t yet explored. In a sense, this work is an ode to that unknown, a fusion of elements from different time periods and places, but that live chemically bound by musical space and time because of the foundations they share, and when put together, create uncharted elements.

 the power of collaboration is on full display in this superb set of songs by Portuguese artists Pedro Martins and Tempura the Purple Boy. Each track holds a unique space which then swerves and unfolds in so many surprising and pleasing ways. Calling on influences and reveries of many tastes and times, from dark and gritty downtempo to early 90’s atmospheric jungle. One can sense the symbiosis that was present in the studio. Pedro’s experience as a producer, studio engineer, DJ and manager of Karakter Records and Tempura’s musical and compositional background was a strong and organic mesh, with Tempura laying down grooves and melodies and Pedro building on aesthetics and overall sound. 

In the end, every new piece of art is laid on top of a foundation of influences. Yet this record shines unique, in it’s masterful fusion of those origins. 

Re-envisioned by 3 artists of massive talent and promise, the remixes fully live up to the quality found in the originals. All of these artists making their debuts on Random Collective. Nada with his dark, atmospheric and extremely compelling remix of Hall of Mirrors. Daniel Hokum concocted a bouncy cut of the same original that is both stripped down and twisted up. Finally, Katabtu caps the EP with an incredibly dreamy and sway inducing rendition of Seismic Activity which he clearly put his soul into, along with a riveting vocal part.

The cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) native to Africa and central Iran. It is the fastest land animal, estimated to be capable of running at 80 to 128 km/h (50 to 80 mph)
The cheetah shows little aggression toward humans, and can be tamed easily, as it has been since antiquity.
The cheetah was first tamed in Sumer and this gradually spread out to central and northern Africa, from where it reached India. The evidence for this is mainly pictorial; for instance, a Sumerian seal dating back to c. 3000 BC, featuring a long-legged leashed animal has fueled speculation that the cheetah was first tamed in Sumer

Since the end of the 16th century a legendary figure called Krampus came up in the German and Slavic mythology. The demon-like creature has a head spiked with two long horns and a dentition consists of sharp fangs. The Krampus is an accompanist of St. Nicholas. This nightmare creature exist for all naughty children. It is entrusted with the task of punishing these kids for their bad deeds. The myth about Krampus is a memorial und reminder to do and be a good guy. Otherwise the Krampus and not St. Nicholas will visit you at the night of the 6 December. This second Single Release by Christian Hülshoff follows thematically directly the first one on KataHaifisch. Once again, the producer accompanies us into the dark realms of downtempo. Deep Synths and mystical Pads create a medieval atmosphere. The song is filled with a lot die of spuky energy but in the end it reveals a clear-minded and cleaned up structure and therefore a optimistic mood.
