This song really speaks to desperation for connection in relationships. The relationship is experiencing a love drought. The speaker is calling for rain, essentially saying “for you, I’d do anything, I’d even change who I am because I know that you are what I want. This is what I want.” Although the relationship feels like it’s ending, maybe we could try one last time to change the weather.
