Harnessing a distinct brand of artistry that knows no categorical bounds, the DJ, producer and record label head has cemented herself as one of the music industry’s most in-demand names at nothing short of breakneck speed. Her signature sonic approach masterfully blends genres with a visceral energy that commands attention, the ardent catalyst in her meteoric rise from Belgium’s underground to global phenomenon status.

DJ Koze’s new album Music Can Hear Us, released on April 4, 2025, entered the official German album charts at number 4 and received widespread critical acclaim worldwide. Major publications such as Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Wall Street Journal, Musikexpress, and many others have celebrated its brilliance. In the music scene, platforms such as Resident Advisor, Musikexpress, Groove, Diffus, MINT, HHV MAG, and BEAT Magazine have all highlighted the album’s magic and Koze’s unique artistic voice. Kate fell in love with house music as a teenager in the early 90’s. When clubbing and attending raves in the late 90’s / early 2000’s, a lot of the time she found herself looking over the DJ, observing and feeling inspired.

Influenced and inspired by friends, Kate invested in Technics turntables and started collecting vinyl. She DJ'd in some venues in Adelaide playing hard house, however hung up the headphones as other passions took over. She sold the Technics years later, but not the vinyl. Her love for house and techno never faded.

Since early 2010’s Kate has been mostly moved by the sounds of progressive house and techno, influenced by the ever-growing community of producers.

After moving to the east-coast of Australia in 2020 Kate invested in a Pioneer XDJ-RX2 digital set up and fell in love with playing new grooves with new technology. Spinning tunes again, her current sets have a melodic, uplifting, and sometimes deep and funky vibe. Her respect and love for old school “real” house continues to deepen and you can hear this in some of her sets.
