Party people, superfriends, podcasters and back-to-back buddies: This ain't the first time DJ heavyweights Oliver Koletzki and andhim join forces. However, "Branka", the second sneak-peak of Oliver's forthcoming "Trip to Sanity" album, marks the maiden studio collaboration between the three veterans of the field. Needless to say, the result is set to blow up dance floors around the globe: While the title track "Branka" pairs a chugging groove with a climax of melancholic piano chords and flute flurries to hands-up effect, "Orbit" is more deranged with its thumping kicks, old-school rave harmonies and crunchy snare rolls. It’s been approximately one year since our first retro futuristic compilation was released, and as we’ve moved further into the future, it appears we’ve come closer to the 90s, if not even ventured a tiny bit into the 00s. We might even be in the present, if not even the future. Somehow, with one foot still in the 80s.

As our universes collide, it’s hard to tell what is what. Whether you think this is a futuristic take on Eurodance with an 80s twist, Italo Body or Trance, that is totally up to you. You might even throw in a few other musical universes too. Is it EBM, Dark Disco or Indie Dance? We don’t know and we don’t judge you for deciding.

In the vibrant heart of Berlin’s electronic music scene, there existed a safe haven where music transcended boundaries and conventions, where every note was an invitation to explore the uncharted. This was the birthplace of Katermukke, a kaleidoscopic label conceived in 2011 by the visionary Dirty Doering and his partner Sascha Cawa!
