Sektkonfekt - KATKA & Kotterzür bei Wannda

Saloppe Katatonie, die: Geistiger und körperlicher Zustand der Muskulatur- und Gehirnverkrampfung, in den man gerät, wenn man sich für längere Zeit in einem Dimensionsloch aufhält. In diesem Zustand der fast absoluten Körper- und Gedankenstarre ist man durch nichts mehr zu beeindrucken, nicht einmal durch einen Dimensionslochsturz. Eine schöne, bleierne Schläfrigkeit macht sich im Körper breit, die Ohren werden sehr warm, und ein breites, doofes Grinsen bestimmt den Gesichtsausdruck. Er ist sehr entfernt dem Zustand der hilflosen Ekstase ähnlich, in den man gerät, wenn man auf einer Achterbahn in den doppelten Looping geht.

... Slowly he regained consciousness. The constant buzzing sound in his head transformed into a jumble of unbearably loud beeping of various warning signals. He blinked briefly then sat up immediately. He was sitting in the cockpit of his small spaceship. Almost all the warning lights around him were flashing.
Concentration.
He shook his head then pressed a few of the countless buttons around him. Gradually the alarm signals stopped and it became quiet. Dead quiet.
Breathe.
The coordinate computer of his ship only showed confuse numbers. 
He didn’t know where he was. So he looked out into the darkness, started the engine of his spaceship and flew off, unaware of where his path would take him ...

Her real name is Kiku, as an artist she is Ukik (@ukikmeikiku), a DJ and event organizer hailing from a Japanese family in Germany and expoiting her life to the utmost on Wedding Berlin, home to a vibrant artists' community. She's definitely a globetrotter and polyglot who has a crush on Brazilian culture; moreover, speaking Portuguese and wishing to play here one day as well as Turkey, Marrocos, India, Mexico, Japan and so on. 

Our 104th edition comes from her closing set in the club Mensch Meier in Berlin during the Sa Terza MetARI Homecoming Party. Going through dynamic and rousing transitions, easily oozing extravagant charm along a breathtaking tracklist, Ukik focused on choosing tracks to bring the audience down after a long night and make them ready to go to bed, a subtle suggestion where to go in their dreams. So we thought that IST series could be a place particularly suitable for re-enacting this enchanting closing set delivered by her.

Extraordinary pieces of music have long stood in direct correlation to the physical surroundings that inspire them. When Oliver Koletzki and Niko Schwind packed up their Berlin studios last April to spend a month locked away in a cottage nestled in the stunning nature of Cape Town’s Noordhoek area before heading to AfrikaBurn, little did they know that its long beaches, dramatic mountain views and the heritage of its indigenous people would have such a profound effect on the club-ready sound they had championed with a string of EPs and live-performances since 2015. The result of four weeks of geo-cultural stimuli and creative experimentation culminated in the album Noordhoek, released in May 2018 on Stil vor Talent.

Heute präsentiere ich euch ein wunderbares Set von Bonnie Ford aus Berlin. Bonnie bin ich 2015 in Ihrer Heimatstadt Nürnberg bei einer kleinen Privat-Party über den Weg gelaufen und dort auch sofort ihrem druckvollen Sound verfallen. Seit Jahren ist Bonnie ein fester Bestandteil der Berliner Clubszene und vor allem bei Ihrer Rummel-Family anzutreffen, wo ich schon das ein oder andere Set auf der Brücke genießen durfte … ein Traum. In den letzen Jahren war sie auch sehr häufig mit Ihrer „Sister in Crime“ Iza Minelli anzutreffen --- ein Duo mit gewaltiger Sprengkraft --- hier sei mal nur Fusion, Freiluftfestival oder Plötzlich am Meer genannt.

Für sound(ge)cloud hat Bonnie mal das Tempo etwas rausgenommen und ein grandioses druckvolles Slomo-Set eingespielt. Claudi tausend Dank für Dich und deine umwerfende Musik. So und nun liebe Hörer viel Spaß beim Abstieg in die tiefe Höhle.

Yooo... mein Set vom Sonntag im Wald. In der Mitte fehlt ein kurzer Teil. Easy angefangen und dann in der Verlängerung als Mika Verspätung hatte die Gassenhauer ausgepackt. Witzig wars, mega schöner Floor & grosses Kompliment an alle die mitgewirkt haben. Auch das 3D Soundkonzept war geil zum rumspielen. Auf Bald!
