I had a hard time finding words today, so I pulled from a few of my favorite verses and crammed them together into a little song. It’s not the best recording as my toddler was climbing on me and screaming in the background… enjoy that

I’ve been sick all day, so I admit this definitely isn’t my best… but here’s a REALLY rough draft of the song I tried working on today.

Day 6 of #7in7days
Only had a few minutes again today, so I did my best with what time I had. Verse two is pretty weak, but overall I’m happy with how the lyrics landed. Wanted to write something about welcoming people in and making them feel at home in our family. Choppy guitar playing as usual… (not a guitar player) but it’ll do!

Day 7 of #7in7days

Can’t believe it! It’s the last day for the #7in7days challenge. I’m so happy to have committed to something and crossed the finish line. My songs aren’t amazing, but it really helped get me into a creative space that I’ve neglected for so long. 

I started off with the prompt and just kind of started singing a prayer that ended up turning into this simple song.
