Ride Home is the story of someone missing someone they know they shouldn't after a night out. Regardless of the fact it's a bad idea, they somehow find themselves going back to that person and then losing them again...on the ride home.

Cheap is a fun, upbeat track throwing it back to a Rock N Roll vibe. The song describes a girl who is unhappy with the way her man has been lazy about love and has not been making an effort and therefore decides to tell him exactly how she feels.

Katy Hurt has lived a whole lot of country for an artist who's yet to hit 20. American culture is stamped on her singer-songwriter soul, from a childhood partly spent living there with her family. Then she returned to the UK to put her love of Nashville sounds and styles to very good use.
Katy spent 2017 performing at over 100 festivals and events around the country following on from the launch of her last EP “Pieces of Me”, a selection of songs which impressed fans by combining the honest lyrical content of modern country music with the riffs, solos and raucous vocals of southern rock, a là Lynyrd Skynyrd or Cadillac Three. The “Pieces of Me” EP was announced on stage at last year’s C2C festival as a surprise for fans.
BBC Radio 2’s Paul Sexton recently described Katy as “One of the most exciting prospects on the burgeoning British country scene”, going on to say “Hurt's confident, distinctive EP Pieces Of Me is the latest evidence of a career that's already produced an iTunes UK Country No. 1 in last year's 'Love You More,' among other successes”. Acknowledging her skill as a songwriter he also noted she is “a vivacious and magnetic performer…Come and check her out now whilst you can still get to the front row”.
To coincide with her Katy Hurt & Friends tour which took place in November of 2017, Katy released her latest single “Cheap” along with her first official music video, both of which were recorded live during a 6-hour live session at the legendary Metropolis Studios. 
2018 is already looking like a busy year for Katy with plans for a new record already in motion and fans eagerly awaiting her next release following a successful pledge campaign; along with more plans for touring and festival appearances.
