OVN의 음악은 공간의 여백에 스민다. 
‘인테리어 뮤직’은 그가 그리는 로파이 뮤직의 아이디얼한 형태다. 

보컬도, 가사도 없이 비트와 멜로디만으로 그가 쌓아 올린 것은 단단한 성곽이 아닌 편안한 방 한 칸이다.
이 방은 나의, 당신의 방이기도 하다. 
내가 기대온 시간만큼 낡고 편안한 소파와 보고 또 본 영화, 가끔 생각날 때 마다 물 주는 화분 하나와 이따금 그 잎을 갉아대는 고양이가 있고, 구석엔 귀퉁이가 닳은 LP가 쌓인 방.

방의 시간은 OVN의 곡을 매개로 흐른다. 음악에 따라 날이 바뀌기도, 해가 뜨거나 지기도, 비가 내리기도 하면서.

“집 안에서 보내는 하루와 변화하는 날씨, 기분을 표현하고 싶었다”며 비트와 멜로디로 시간의 변화, 드라마적 서사를  담아낸 Interior. 

어떤 음악을 해야할지 목표가 분명해진 탓일까. <Interior>에 담긴 음악에도 확실한 변화가 엿보인다.
그동안 선보인 RAW한 로파이사운드보다 정제된 느낌의 사운드라든가, 컷 앤 페이스트 방식으로 곡 하나를 채우던 방식이 아닌 다양한 변주를 시도한 점 등이다.

OVN이 만들어낸 방은 늘 활짝 열려있다. 이곳은 당신의 방이기도, 그의 방이기도, 우리의 방이기도 하다.
이곳에서 우리는 그저 편안하도록 하자.
평가하거나, 압도되거나, 반성하지말고 그저 편안하기만 하자.
그것이 인테리어 뮤직을 제대로 즐길 수 있는 유일한 방법이다.
