V Classic was an appetiser. Today I officially have 5K followers, and so I have a duo* of Platinum Breakz mixes for you all. 

Was great to rediscover this one in its extended CD form. As a paid-up Headz fan I already owned half of the content when the LP dropped in 1996, and so mentally pigeonholed it more as 'the album with Unofficial Ghost on it' than anything else. Listening back and structuring this mix 25 years later, I've realised what an exceptionally well-balanced and atmospheric collection this is, with many lighter moments that contrast with the filthy exclusives such as Armoured D and The Nocturnal.

To mark a year of activity we’re stepping things up in a big way to deliver a huge line-up across FORGE’s Main Room and Workroom spaces. Some of the best DJ's and MC's in the scene have played at Unity over the last 12 months, artists like Mantra, Equinox, Digital, Dead Man's Chest, MC Chickaboo, MC Gusto to name a few. Kay-S is a Visual Artist, Producer, and DJ based out of Tampa Bay, Florida. Over his nearly two-decade involvement in the Drum & Bass scene in Tampa, his penchant for blending the dark-and-heavy with melodic and ethereal, along with his relentless quest to dig deep for new and interesting sounds, has made him a consistently refreshing presence. Kay-S is a resident DJ, Designer and Promoter for A Night of Drum & Bass Tampa Bay (ANODNB), which is currently celebrating its 8th year of events in the Tampa Bay area. He is also a co-founder, DJ, and artist of the lauded Refuge Nights St. Petersburg, Florida; a monthly Drum & Bass and Jungle night focusing on the deeper end of of the genre as an authentic, thoughtfully curated, music-centric rave experience.
