Argy biography 

Hailing from South Wales, Argy UK is a DJ and producer that has honed his sound organically and with integrity over almost two decades. 

Influenced by the cross-genre greats and turntablist heroes, Argy’s style is unique in both energy and technical wizardary. 

After being hailed as one to watch through BBC Radio One’s ‘In New DJs We Trust’, Argy rapidly advanced through the UK techno and harder dance scene as well as gaining recognition across European stages, including Tomorrowland and Defqon 1.

Today Argy is a growing, evolving organism of an artist, hell bent on retaining individuality and pushing boundaries. 

There aren’t many DJs that can balance technical prowess alongside a performance style that is always authentic, and enthralling every time. 

As a master of mash-ups, he blends exclusive edits with pinpoint accuracy, with technical trickery and intelligent effects. 

He thrives on creating unforgettable sets that are defined by experience rather than genre.

Argy is excelling as a producer, with EPs released on Autektone (T78) and Kneaded Pains (Dense & Pika)

His productive style sets him apart yet again. His tracks are intelligent and are diverse in style, which is proving impact on dancefloors globally and support through some of the biggest hitters in techno and beyond.

I am not a rapper! I tell stories over beats. Most of my channel is old but that will soon change and it’s nice to come back and listen to how rubbish I was.

The other voice, the one buried inside your head, too afraid to let out. It can be your best friend during the good times, and your worst enemy through the bad. The part of you not afraid to speak your mind. 

The lone wolf of South Wales, The Other Voice was first introduced to the guitar at the tender age of 14. For the next 2 years he locked himself away in his room with the green strat copy he'd been gifted. When he finally emerged armed with a handful of chords and the pentatonic scale he was ready to take on the world! 

After spending time learning his craft in Blues/Rock/punk/metal bands, it became apparent that due to mental instability and the dislike of most people's company something must change. And behold, The Other Voice was born. 

I am a singer/songwriter. Now focusing on my music I am gigging. I live in Stroud, Gloucester. I am from Wales. Keep listening for finished and produced tracks that will be coming soon. cheers :) 

Grady G is widely known amongst his fans as the ‘King of Filth’, and it’s not hard to see why. His trademark Brutal NRG, laden with filthy hoovers, growling bass and grungy synths, has earned him a loyal following the world over and gained him a reputation as one of the scene’s most in-demand producers. Although often imitated, for those who like their music hard, fast and furious, no one does h...ard like Grady G.

Having discovered Hard House in 2000, Grady decided to try his hand at music production, feeling that the Hard House being released at that time just wasn’t hard enough. Previously a drummer in a band, music production came naturally to Grady, and it wasn’t long before his tunes were being snapped up for release.

With an impressive 29 tracks pressed on vinyl, and countless digital releases, it’s more a case of what labels haven’t released Grady’s music, with highly-esteemed labels such as Vicious Circle, Spinball, Passion Records, Deprivation and the Beat Ranch, to name but a few, clambering to release his material. Invariably, Grady’s tracks climb to the top of the charts, and he recently had an astounding five tracks feature in the Toolbox Digital top fifteen at the same time. Grady is also inundated with remix work, and has remixed scene giants such as Paul Glazby, Defective Audio/ Base Graffiti and Marc Johnson.

As if this wasn’t enough, Grady’s DJ sets, show-casing his own productions, have wowed fans across the world, with Grady touring the UK, Ireland, Finland, New Zealand and, of course, Australia, numerous times. He has played at some of the biggest Hard Dance parties on the planet, such as Storm (UK), Wildchild (UK), Bezerk (NZ), Disturbed Nation (NZ), Enchanted Forest (Australia), System 6 (Australia) and Konemetsa (Finland).

Cementing his status as a member of the Hard House elite, Grady has shared a stage with the biggest names in the scene, including Lisa Lashes, Lab 4, Andy Farley, Paul Glazby, Karim, Justin Bourne, Proteus, Defective Audio, Captain Tinrib, BK, Ben Stevens, Steve Hill, Nick Sentience and Paul Maddox.

Having taken a two-year break, 2011 has so far shaped up to be another successful year for Grady, with him making his comeback, much to the relief of fans desperate for their filth fix. With an impressive array of releases, forthcoming interstate gigs and an international tour in the pipeline, the King of Filth is well and truly back, and long may he reign!
