ECHO & FLOW is a series of musical works that seek to capture the emotions, thoughts, judgments, and mistakes embedded in life’s brief and fleeting moments. This project traces the subtle echoes of feelings that unexpectedly surface through the cracks of daily life—passing regrets, sudden joys, and all the ephemeral impressions in between. Like an echo that bounces off a wall, or a wave that flows on only to vanish, these are the elusive yet undeniable traces of what once was.

At times, we pause in front of a scene, falling into deep reflection, only to soon forget and carry on with life. Within this ongoing flow, our emotional responses gradually fade, leaving behind only delicate ripples. Some tracks may be too brief to leave any lasting memory, while others may unexpectedly touch something deep within us.

ECHO & FLOW avoids heavy storytelling, yet aspires to evoke quiet, subtle vibrations that seep into the inner self. As the currents of life and the reverberations of feeling intertwine, this project becomes a musical record of the lingering echoes of our existence—things easily forgotten, yet never truly gone. It is, in the end, the soundtrack of my life.

ECHO & FLOW는 삶의 짧고 찰나적인 순간들에 깃든 감정과 생각, 판단과 실수들을 음악으로 기록하려는 연작 프로젝트입니다. 이 작업은 일상의 균열 속에서 불쑥 떠오르는 감정의 잔향, 스쳐 지나가는 후회나 기쁨, 그 모든 순간들을 포착해냅니다. 그것은 마치 벽에 부딪혔다 되돌아오는 메아리처럼, 혹은 흐르다가 이내 사라지는 물결처럼, 명확히 잡히지 않지만 분명 존재했던 것들의 잔상입니다.

우리는 종종 어떤 장면에서 멈춰 서 깊은 상념에 빠지기도 하지만, 또 금세 잊고 살아갑니다. 그렇게 반복되는 흐름 속에서 마음의 반응은 점차 옅어지고, 감정은 미세한 잔물결처럼 흔적만 남깁니다. 따라서, 어떤 곡은 너무 짧아 기억도 남지 않을 수 있고, 또 어떤 곡은 예기치 않게 깊숙한 무언가를 건드릴 수도 있습니다.

ECHO & FLOW는 무거운 서사를 피하면서도, 우리의 내면에 스며든 작고 조용한 진동을 불러일으키는 음악이기를 바랍니다. 삶의 흐름과 감정의 반향이 얽히는 이 작업은 결국, 쉽게 잊히면서도 결코 사라지지 않는 우리 존재의 잔향에 대한 음악적 기록이며, 사운드트랙입니다.

바람에 흔들리는 연기처럼,
멈추지도, 사라지지도 못한 채
어디론가 흘러가는 얼굴들.
그 안에 내가 있고,
또 내가 아닌 나도 있다.

Like smoke
swaying in the wind,
unable to rest,
unable to vanish,
faces drift away
to somewhere unseen.
Within them, I remain,
and there, too,
a self that is not me.

The Floaters

It cannot be seen.
A quiet presence, nestled in the pause
where time and space catch their breath.

Just before waking from a dream,
or when a forgotten memory returns

There lies the version of me that has passed,

All sounds and senses dissolve, and the self drifts as a silent wave.
Time, names, and meanings fade into nothing—
leaving only the clear, tender feeling of simply being.

끝 모를 흐름 속에서 
존재의 무게를 잠시 잊습니다.
모든 소리와 감각은 둔해지고 
고요한 물결이 되어 표류합니다.
시간도, 이름도, 의미도 사라지고
그저 존재한다는 
맑고 부드러운 느낌만 남습니다.

a dim voice (희미한 목소리)

가끔 그런 순간이 있어. 분명히 나인데도, 어쩐지 낯설게 느껴질 때 말이야. 그럴 땐 뭔가 어긋난 느낌이 들고, 동시에 묘하게 가벼워져. 

Sometimes there are moments like that. It is clearly me, yet somehow I feel unfamiliar. At those times, I sense something out of place, and at the same time, I feel strangely light.

도시의 잔향과 인간의 마음이 맞닿는 자리에서, 스쳐가지만 분명히 우리 안에 머물러 있는 따뜻한 순간들을 위한 음악입니다.

시간은 물결처럼 흘러가고, 마음은 그 안에서 잔향처럼 되돌아옵니다.

새벽의 고요한 숨결로 시작해, 낮의 온기와 사람들의 움직임을 지나, 밤의 부드러운 정적 속으로 스며드는 흐름 속에서 음악은 서로의 마음을 잇는 조용한 가교가 됩니다.

At the place where the city’s resonance meets the human heart, this music gathers the gentle moments that have passed yet still live within us.

Time flows like a wave, and the heart returns within it, like an echo.

From dawn’s quiet breath to the soft stillness of night, the music becomes a silent bridge between hearts.

혼자서는 감당하기 어려운 순간들도, 누군가의 숨결과 시선, 말 없는 동행 속에서 조금은 가벼워집니다. 크게 외치지 않고, 앞서 나서지도 않지만, 같은 방향을 향해 나란히 걷는 존재들. 

Moments that are hard to carry alone become a little lighter with another person’s breath, gaze, and quiet companionship. Without speaking loudly or stepping ahead, we walk side by side, looking in the same direction.

Today we are

소리는 같으나 의미는 만 가지로 다른 것이다.

 

세한(歲寒)은 the New Year (season) 전후의 추위라는 뜻으로 매우 심한 추위를 뜻한다.

그런 까닭에 세한도(歲寒圖)는 황량한 겨울 풍경을 묘사하고 있다.

 

나는 그림의 여백에 눈이 끌렸다.

그 여백에서 차가운 바람이 분다.

공허하고 차갑고 황량한 세상은 소통이 가능한 열린 세상을 의미할 수도 있겠다.

나는 음악으로 아주 추운 겨울을 극대화시키고 싶었다.

 

The sound is the same, but the meaning is different.

 

Sehan (歲寒) means cold before and after the New Year (season), which means very cold.

For this reason, Sehando(歲寒圖) portrays a desolate winter landscape.

 

I was attracted to the margins of the picture.

In that margin a cold wind blows.

An empty, cold and desolate world could mean an open world that can communicate

I wanted to maximize the very cold winter with music.
