Dear friends - a little song about our nature.
This is a picture from "Stens huvud" in the south east of Sweden.
Approximate translation into English:

The Stream

I walk along the stream
that glitters in the morning light
i can see all the trees reflected here
they seem oblivious to what we humans do

I sit down there
the most beautiful flowers exist
I have to be very careful so they are always there
when all our children go out to see how everything is

What is it
that splashes at the edge of the stream
it looks like a beaver building a nest
he tears and drags on a branch which he places as a roof
 
Over there under the trees
small birds can take a dip
and they chirp and they play for a while with each other
and they haven't seen me yet because I'm as quiet as a mouse

Decided to do a version of Let It Snow using guitar, vocals and messing around on Ableton with the drum rack and other midi options.

This is a song we do at sing along at work and is a lot of fun to play.

All Of Me

There's a full moon tonight and it reminded me of this song we do at work with residents during the sing alongs.  It came out in 1909 on the vaudeville circuit, was written by Madden and Edwards and was later a big feature during the Ziegfeld Follies revues.

By The Light Of The Silvery Moon

This is a classic Cole Porter tune that I have always enjoyed and I've been listening to a lot of Sinatra lately and decided to cover this.

I'Ve Got You Under My Skin

This song began life in 1953 as a rumba entitled: “¿Quién será?” by Mexican composer Luis Demetrio.   Norman Gimbel added English lyrics and in 1954 the song, renamed “Sway” became a hit for Dean Martin.
	“Sway” has since been recorded by many artists, most notably Shaft in 1999, and Micheal Buble in 2003.
	My version has moved away from Buble's extravagant stage version towards a more acoustic but still danceable, maybe, sound.   Anyhow, it is a great song and I hope this version does not put you off.

++++. PROFILE NOTES ++++

Once a wannabe, not yet a has been.

It had been over a decade since I put together a song,
and for that matter basically walked away from music altogether.
Losing hope that I would ever have the time to put into music again,
I finally gave away my 3rd music studio.
I ran across SoundCloud around 2013,
and thought I might take what few songs I had recorded, 
and lay them to rest there.
And there they languished.

HOWEVER, around 2017 I went back to SoundCloud
and began listening a little more and a little more,
and actively taking a part in visiting the sites
of so many wonderful musicians and beautiful songs.
Also, more and more often I would discover that these artists
were blossoming everywhere around the world,
and most definitely worthy of high praise and compliments.

Then suddenly, these old dead soundtracks right here
began to have a bit of life breathed back into them.
From the kind words that began to come trickling in,
I thought, maybe, someday I might give this music thing a try again.

The thing that finally pushed me into action
was a particular SoundCloud artist…Sander Heerings,

Not only was he encouraging,
but he began faithfully responding to a few questions,
then a barrage of them.

The final result seemed to be that after a couple of months,
the Old Grinder now has a 4th studio and, finally, a new song.
I hope there may be many more to come.

Thank you Sander, and to the multitude that have dropped in
to listen to these old songs, 
and most of all, for perking up my spirits.
