Live Mix for Widdfam Tunesdays (July 6th, 2021)

Label founders Tik&Borrow are back for their first EP of 2021 on In:flux Audio, coming in heavy with two original tracks for their latest EP 'Erebus & Terror'. The duo have been honing their intricate dubstep stylings since their last solo outing on the label in May 2020, and on the way to this EP they've had releases on Dirty Beats, Simply Deep, SND SYSTM CLTR and Frozen Plates to name a few. This EP sees them return to the heavier side of their sound, but maintaining the progressions seen through the past year, to create something that is fresh and forward thinking.

On remixes, label newby Qwirk tackles 'Erebus', taking the original and turning it into a breaks-dubstep hybrid that had us spinning in our chair upon it landing in our inbox. Dystinkt follows suit in the blending of styles, taking a more funky-dubstep approach to his remix of 'Terror', brining us a track that has groove for days and will get any dancefloor vibing.

REWINDRADIO_047 ft. Sherwood

1point5 is back for his first solo EP on In:flux Audio since 'Perception' back in January 2015. He has been pottering around the label plenty since then though, with plenty of remixes and of course, his collab EP last November with founders Tik&Borrow. This time round we showcase three tracks from the producer, all of which showcase his evolution into firmer Dubstep territory, whilst retaining that signature 2-step 1point5 sound that we know and love.

On remixes, it's a selection of label loves who are returning the favour to 1point5 after he provided superb remixes on their EPs. Ali McK & IYZ are up first, with their reworking of 'Backspace' - a more twinkly affair with a superb reworking of the lead section into something more dark and brooding, whilst still retaining the duos ear for a banger. Fork and Knife closes out the EP with his UK Garage take on the lead track 'Solar Signal', all percussion, wubs and vibes - the perfect exit to a stunning EP.

The duo known as Dark Entity are back! 'The Room EP' is a perfect blend of rigorously placed percussions, organic sub movements concealed by gritty textures, rainbows melodies and a synergetic atmosphere gathering ISR veterans and fresh upcoming producers as well as the introduction of Daygorilla! A talented vocalist stepping out of the shadows, who has been working on his flow for years !

Diving straight into the sound cells, communication between the lower and higher side of the human hearing capacity is key to maintain the cleanest flows of the melo-mid counterparts. "Tik and a tok from the clock it ain't stopping", A steady tracklist progression elevates and intensifies your listening experience. Each tune is an exploration of a new set of guidelines building up into a monstrous jaw dropping and cliff diving blast! We hope you enjoy this flow as much as we do!
