Having Oxóssi step up to the plate with his ground-shifting bass repertoire, assures us we’re floating upstream. "Silent Motion Records extends it's bass music catalogue with sounds coming all the way from Los Angeles. Oxóssi, a familiar face in American dubstep culture, is known for his old-fashioned, spaced-out dub music and focus on its deeply rooted fundamental frequencies.

His feel for programming rhythms, enriching effects and the necessary depth allow for intriguing experiences. The ‘Buried’ EP he has crafted is the direct proof of it, exposing his novel taste in dub-esque bass music. ‘SMV001’ is a one release of many, highlighting the flourishing dubstep of the future."

Hailing from Sherbrooke, Quebec, Substance delivers an analog fueled journey through the deep realms of low end dub. Eerie melodies mixed with gritty bass-lines are what brings to life, the Venom EP.

About Substance
Substance has been a major pioneer and leader in the pushing of deep bass & soundsystem culture for many years. In the booth, his deep and dark sound have been an essential part of the Canadian Underground Bass Music for almost a decade, garnering support from some of the dubstep industries biggest names and labels across the world. He also had a major hand in the growth of the deep dubstep community back home through his co-founded company DirtyCake which has hosted some of Canada’s and beyond finest Producer’s & DJ’s since 2012. With a collaboration with Youngsta, a remix from Pushloop and a few upcoming releases on big labels, you might want to keep an eye on that substance.

Originating from Ringwood, NJ, CHAWKTAW came up in the warehouses and basements of the Tristate area, pushing bass weight and circulating love in the 140 scene. With over a decade under his belt honing his talents as a musician, CHAWKTAW's efforts have resulted in a singular take on dubstep: a sound with an effortless groove, bubbling with energy. 
His influences range from punk to chiptune, hardcore to dub, and everything in between. CHAWKTAW’s compositions are filled with cosmic atmospheres and sentient wobbles, driven by a powerhouse of hefty bottom end. He strives to make listeners smile and, if they feel it, boogie a little.
