“This is a very special track for me and it has a long journey to be with you now. I started writing ‘Strife’ in 2014 after watching and being deeply impacted by Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey, the main melody was born at this point but I soon lost interest and moved on to other projects. I played an early version of the track with a very different bassline and structure a few times and always felt that it was lacking drive, so it was once again put to the side and forgotten. Years later I was preparing my first Zenon release under the alias Lumen and remembered this track. I changed the bass and added guitar and some more driving elements but it didn’t really fit with the rest of the ‘Logically Positive’ EP so I held onto it and have played it in almost every set for the last 6 years. Now its finally time to let this one out into the world, enjoy” - Ambler

"keerd is fascinated by how music influences the environment around us - how it sets the scene and tells a story that reflects the writer's emotions or experiences in unique ways. With the California Bay Area native's background in sound design, he has been perfecting his craft in electronic music for over a decade. This multi-genre producer strives to tell stories through his music and mixes, taking the listener on a kinetic yet spacious journey with his original sounds and movements. Playing 2pm on Sunday is an interesting slot as most people are just getting their day going after staying up until the wee hours of the morning. Goal here was to inject some uplifting energy through some vocal dnb.  I had the privilege of playing on Mindgarden's glorious Void rig, so I went for tracks that would take advantage of this.  Had fun with this set  :)
