Dinamite ( Onna Bushi, Tresor / Berlin ) Passion, conviction and respect for club culture: these three conditions are the infallible formula that Dinamite has adopted to connect with the public through an intelligible Techno sound as a fundamental expressive language. Born in the city of Madrid, Spain and possessing an overwhelming creative energy and restlessness, Ana Zaragoza took her first steps in the Madrid electronic music scene by frequenting the booths of cult clubs. But it was not in Spain, but in Germany, where She consolidated his career, establishing herself in the city of Berlin in 2012. Recognized as one of the cultural capitals of Europe and cradle of Techno sound, the air of freedom and rebellion that prevailed more than 30 years after the fall of the wall is still perceived in its streets. The Berlin creative atmosphere has become the ideal environment for hundreds of artists from different disciplines who live daily exchanging ideas and collaborating in their work. Integrated to the pulse of this cosmopolitan city, the artist immediately absorbed the codes of a sound with her own name. Some years elapsed since Dinamite became a resident of the legendary Tresor club, epicenter of the world Techno culture. In the same space, the artist directs the New faces cycle, a launching platform for new talent from around the world that seeks to expand the great Techno family. With a powerful and dynamic sound, a sustained and projected energy, achieving an overwhelming combo for any Techno fan, Dinamite explores the possibilities that this musical genre gives in blunt sets that take her to tour the most important European clubs in the underground circuit. Lover of working in the studio and in a creative process in constant development, She creates her musical proposals with a vibrant sound palette with tones that range from the purity of industrial sounds to the saturation of the darkest, producing unique pieces with a very personal aesthetic. Currently, Dinamite has just released her new imprint Onna Bushi Records, that lands on the international scene, as a platform for artistic visibility, with the persevering drive of a community that accepts the challenge of reinventing itself. DJ, producer, curator or snake charmer, whatever role Dinamite adopts testifies that we are facing a talented and multifaceted artist, who lives and breathes electronic music making her a philosophy of life.

For our second podcast, we'd like to introduce Dan Berg (@dan_berg).

Dan Berg is a versatile techno artist who has been making a name for himself in the underground scene. His style spans from hypnotic and groovy to a more fast-paced hard groove sound. What sets him apart is his use of interesting, distorted percussion, as well as his seamless integration of both older and newer tracks using some tricks along the way. This creates a captivating journey that showcases his distinct musical taste. 

This mix, as he himself mentions, is an excellent representation of his current musical style. Starting out groovier and ending with more hard groove tracks. The inspiration fort this set mainly came from sets heard from Undisclosed, where he also played a while ago.

For our 80th episode, SHE/HER joins the series, an upcoming 22-year old female techno DJ based in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. 

SHE/HER started DJ'ing during the COVID-lockdown. For this reason she felt inspired by various Dutch illegal and underground rave communities. These scenes made her sound shift from hard kicks and trancey tracks to a blend of hard, funky and groovy rhythms. Although quite the shift in music taste has already been made, she believes this will never stop changing. That’s why SHE/HER will always be eager to learn and be inspired more by our beautiful techno scene.

Stephen Mahoney

A long time record collector, Stephen has been involved in various collectives over the years including Analog where they had guests over such as Volster and Insolate and Woo York.

Stephen has been releasing music with releases on labels including Concidence Records and his own label Shelter Records while also part of Flexure with Jamie Behan which seen them play at Tresor's New Faces night.

Now running a new imprint, Delinquent Delivery since 2018, a label which has brought six releases so far, a looking glass into Dublins Techno scene. Artists included are Snakebite_616, Jon Hussey, Stuey Lyons, Rustal, Jack Jennings, James Cherry, Stephen Mahoney, which saw a sold out release for Saol Forsa and made the Decks.de top ten. 2021- 2022 saw Stephen debut on Children of Tomorrow, two Eps within quick succession, while 2023 starts with an album on a Diffuse Reality and another Ep for Children of Tomorrow.

Stephen’s productions have been continuing to garner respect and support from the scenes biggest luminaries and his productions are gaining an International audience. Djing, Stephen’s style is quick, three deck mixing which incorporates many late night styles and has a single goal or vision, unite the dancefloor and set it alight.
