In the corner of the room the strange creature writhed and convulsed in its cage, its breathing becoming louder and harsher as its captors approached. Day in day out they performed tests; injecting this anonymous beast with crazy medicines and concoctions until its chest throbbed and it cried out in pain. What they would gain from these clinical trials was unknown, but they had no plans to grant this creature its freedom anytime soon.

The work of Amsterdam's Sinchi Collective encompasses more than just music. Since launching, the platform, label and charitable foundation have continued their ethos and pledge to support indigenous peoples and preserve unique cultures around the world through sonic delights. Having previously been home to releases from Curses, Roe Deers, Khidja and more, next up in their schedule is an instalment from one half of Leggings AKA Heidenreich who made his debut on the label earlier this year with Altered States Vol 2. This time he's joined by the provocative French purrs of industrial-minded artist ANGST vor GRETA for 'Je Palpite', a twisted, seductive 9-minute opus that gets the remix treatment from Robert Johnson’s Chinaski and Calypso Records head honcho Thomass Jackson.

Sinchi returns with a 3rd instalment of their acclaimed ‘Altered States’ compilation. Once again, raising funds for their own Sinchi Foundation and the work they do in supporting indigenous communities worldwide.

Again this is a truly international affair featuring artists across 4 continents. Representing South America, Altair & Sagan (Argentina), in North America, Mr. Tea (US) and Loui Martz (Mexico). In Europe, Lithuania’s Dannie Fade and British artist The Soviet Union, then crossing in to Western Asia, Syrian duo Boschoco… who’s hit Semsem (released on Sinchi this year), is remixed from the label themselves.

The label has become a symbol of originality and defined by a willingness to experiment with different genres and unknown artists. In the labels own words, 'we hear so much music that is churned out by ‘big name’ artists, which although usually beautiful produced, doesn’t do anything for us. Of course, high quality production is important but the ethos of the label is geared towards music which dares to be different, not judging demo’s from an artist’s reputation and most importantly is it unique enough to stand the test of time’.

Introducing LYNCH, the new EP from the artist @SHUBOSTAR and the first release from French label, @ANO_ANO.

The South Korean producer based in MXC unveils her latest EP "Lynch” where Sci-Fi and Dark Disco collide. After her take over of Burning Man’s main Mayan Warrior stage in 2019, SHUBOSTAR has been on the rise and she’s only just begun.

Our journey begins with "Lynch", a title which pays homage to the renowned American filmmaker, David Lynch. A punchy track built around a captivating bassline where atmospheric melodies gradually creep in.
The exploration continues with the dreamy 'Maoi’. Haunting keys, shamanic voices and a striking rhythmic base fold into one another to create a meditative masterpiece.

On the remix side, Darlyn Vlys, Damon Jee and Curses take our cosmic-disco trip straight to the dance floor. The French duo, Darlyn Vlys & Damon Jee, tackle ‘Lynch’ with a fast pace interpretation. A base of percussion and drums, distorted by guitar riffs perfectly meld to get your hips shaking.

While Curses, the American producer based in Berlin, introduces New Wave and Post Punk influence to ‘Maoi’ to create a hypnotizing club jam.

Curated by respected British artist REES, Paradiso Records is famous when it comes to discovering hidden talents who deserve to be heard and releasing their works to our delight and appreciation. This time, the label presents Belgrade-based DJ and producer Ivan Rapaić. He started his music career in 2017 as a member of the duo Vietmens and had some interesting releases on Extravaganza, Smart Phenomena, Aletheia, and Asli Music. Flying solo now, he launches his new project Rapaik and makes his debut with a two-track EP called “Space Gangster”, both pack a punch of high energy melodies and nostalgia, showcasing Ivan’s proper production skills.

The tune we chose to premiere, “Electric Orgasm”, is more melodic – but more energetic – than the title track. The beautiful piano layer, the percussive elements, the throbbing bass line, and the retro-ish synth layer deliver a must-have piece for the lovers of the so-called Indie Dance scene.

As head of Italian (centric) Slow Motion label and through his own productions and remixes, Franz Scala has been pioneering the retro-futuristic aesthetic of club culture weaving together elements of proto-house, wave and Italo for the nuovo contemporary dancefloor long before it's current vogue. Now alongside Bordello A Parigi, and supported by Sameheads, Slow Motion presents Scala's euphoric debut LP Mondo Della Notte. 
A homage to the world of the night where Franz plies his trade. Solid production and understanding of the various references informing the contemporary dancefloor imbues this set with a quality of permanence. Each track clocks-in at around the seven minute mark accommodating all Scala's retro influences  providing the space for walls of sounds to expand and unfold along these infectious rhythm voyages.    
It is a tribute to Franz's careful, attentive approach to his love of music that, for the first time, after a decade running Slow Motion, he finally releases his own productions through his own label. PREMIERE: Kid Machine - Iceman [Turn It Down Music] (2020)

Based in the vibrating district of La Boca in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where the worldwide famous La Bombonera stadium is located, DJ and producer Facundo Montoya aka Kchi Homeless is a guy who likes to dance – and to make other people dance too. We can be wrong, but that’s exactly the kind of artist you invite to release music if you want to have a nice label. On this eclectic three-tracked EP for Amplio Espectro, curated by the duo Carisma (CARolina Stegmayer & ISMAel Pinkler), Kchi makes us dance even with Ambient Music. And if you like putting names on things you can also dance the record under the categories Distorted Chill Out Vibes and Beatless Italo Techno.

The track we chose to premiere, “La Boca Beach”, is an 88-BPM beauty (or beast). Its piercing distortions accompanied by an arpeggiated synth layer and guitar-like riffs transported us to the middle of La Boca on a hot Summer night. No, there is no Boca Junior’s game, the streets of the colourful barrio are crowded but not packed (masks and social distance are not required in our fantasy journey – the painful reality has no shot here). Mr Montoya’s theme engulfs a Gardel’s in our daydream. A sip of Quilmes and the buzz of passers-by turn the stroll into an even more pleasant experience. This is also what music is supposed to make with us, right? Mission accomplished, Kchi!
