Amazing atmosphere, it feels a bit too good to be true how nicely it sounds.

When my wife was pregnant with our first son, a pregnancy app we used to track the progress at one point said that he was the size of a big strawberry. That little piece of information made me super happy and inspired me to make the piece Big Strawberry, which is featured on my last album. 'Raspberry' is inspired by a similar moment. When my wife got pregnant again back last winter, I decided to make a piece of music for our second son. When it was finished, I turned to the very same app to see how big he was at that point, and a raspberry showed up on the screen 💫 

These days, my wife is super pregnant( like watermelon-size-pregnant!), so the little guy might join us any day now. ❤️

Raspberry is a slow ambient piece with a soft felt piano moving through a sphere of immersive synth-pads, and calming, soft rain-sounds.

I'm so pleased to share that my rework of LUCHS's song 'Solskur' is out now.

After selecting 'Solskur' to rework, Patrik shared that the piece is actually the emotional centerpiece of the album for him, and is a homage to his mother who passed away from cancer in 2019. As a mother of three sons, this project was deeply meaningful to me. I knew how personal it was to Patrik and I wanted to honor the original song, while at the same time putting a different spin on the song with the thoughtfulness of his original intact. Because the original song was driven by solo piano, I took certain sections of the piano motifs and created mini-vignettes which I re-arranged throughout the remix and used them as a platform to create ambient beds of textures with his piano, my voice and various added synth elements.

Thanks so much to the listener 'voightkampff7399' on YouTube for introducing me to this beautiful word 'Petrichor'! It describes the scent of the air after a rain shower. This is sort of an answer to my last piece 'Aprilregen'.

51beats is glad to present the debut solo work by @imnot_here1 (aka Davide Barucca), a musician and multi-instrumentalist from Ancona, Marche region.
“Outside” invites you to look outside, far away, focusing on the beauty of nature. It is an odyssey of sounds, rhythms, wind instruments, piano solos, all in a perennial crescendo; a journey to distant lands, perhaps imaginary, delicately outlined with pastel colours.
The synthesis of the modular, skilfully spread on the canvas in the form of arpeggios and circular sequences, creates a perfect substrate for the brushstrokes of piano and alto sax, with which _Imnot__here completes the soundscape and transports the listener between the sinuous lines of a world in perfect harmony.
The _Imnot__here project fits with originality into the neokosmische trend of Emeralds, John Also Bennet, Jonathan Fitoussi and Plasman, among others.
