I Was Born, Then Burnt

💬 Words of Wintering is one of the songs from my new ambient album, part of a series of 2 albums, with this first album exploring melancholic emotions and experiences, and the second being more hopeful. This song in particular to me just felt like the winter of 2021 for me, a cold, isolated and lonely time full of lots of reflection on the past and where I was at that present moment, a largely silent time broken by the occasional conversations with my friend going through a similar experience to me at the time.
I'm particularly happy with this song's flow between bigger, more floating-feeling ambiences and more grounded, organic feeling moments.

🤍 'Empty Words' marks the conclusion of the Part II of Imaginary Journeys.
Empty Words is an elusive soundscape story, fusing elements of electronic and ambient, in the moods of Ryuichi Sakamoto.
It's an adaptation of a 'Popion's song, one of my favorite piano player, and reinterpreted into an imaginary soundtrack for the wonderful and enigmatic Shingo Tamagawa's anime, 'Puparia'.

Between containment and release, the pulse becomes its own mirror. Shadows fold beneath translucent skies, revealing the architecture of intention beneath each breath. Time thickens, dissolves, and recomposes, tracing the delicate balance between control and surrender. At that serene boundary where instinct meets conscience, each impulse becomes light.
