For this mix, I wanted to create a sonic experience that would take listeners on a profound adventure, one that transcends boundaries and genres. Organic House lays the foundation, connecting us to the primal rhythms of nature, and setting the stage for the melodic and hypnotic voyage that awaits.

As the mix unfolds, I carefully curate a seamless transition into the enchanting world of Melodic House & Techno. Here, the melodies take on a life of their own, guiding us into a state of trance-like euphoria. It's a delicate balance between raw emotion and driving energy, an immersive experience that I hope will raise your consciousness. 

But the journey doesn't stop there. We venture even further, delving into the ever-evolving soundscape of Progressive House. With each track, I wanted to create a sense of constant motion, a feeling that we are moving through time and space, carried by the waves of evolving melodies and pulsating bass lines.

Looking ahead to the future, I am incredibly humbled about the projects on the horizon. One of my most significant ambitions is to release my original album. This album will be a reflection of my musical evolution and a testament to the power of creativity through music.

Additionally, I am thrilled to share that there are exciting collaborations in the works. You can expect future releases on labels like Dreaming Awake and Flow Music, with Austin Leeds.

It's become quiet about Copenhagen-based artist Rasmus Vincentz Jensen, who is known to most under his Nandu moniker, over the past weeks. It's become quiet because Nandu, unlike many other artists, has not followed the path of releasing incredibely much music during the pandemic nor focused on live streams. Even though he – at first – felt like he'd have to do so or contribute something but finally chose a different approach, which the “Diamond in the Rough“ now wants to share. The artist, who's had releases on Innervisions, Exit Strategy, Sum Over Histories or Scatcity in the past, pulls off an art:cast that totally deserves the word meaningful as it musically portrays the current episode in our lives, in Nandu's life. “It does not make sense to release dance music in these times, so I put a lot of effort into this mix“, so Nandu's mix concentrates on putting music together that is not meant to be heard on the dance floor, that does not make the sweat drop from the ceiling of a club, that does not support a collective dance experience. Nandu's mix breaks open pop structures in the most delicate way and puts this effort in an electronic music context. Therefore he combined several unreleased takes from his side with music from affiliates like Radeckt, Ivory, Skatman, Murat Uncuoglu, Emily Simbi or Tienezo to come up with a listening experience that gives people a break from what's happening around them and spreads positivity – all the way from Copenhagen to the world.

Canopy Sounds returns this with our good friend, trustless.

Few can rival this Munich based producer and DJ's tender and careful ear for introspective soundscapes that pair with soft and thunderous grooves alike. As one of the founders of the beloved Nie Wieder Schlafen label and music collective, trustless and his friends yearned for something different than the music that was around them early in 2014. While waiting for a David August performance during the wee hours of the morning, Steppi and his crew knew they could not sleep, hence the meaning of NWS (Never Sleep Again). This whimsical story would become the root for what was to become one of the most captivating and inspiring underground deep house collectives around. Since then, the ideas has moved from festival fields, to T-Shirts, Youtube and finally a juggernaut label with releases from artists including trustless himself, Quatri, Modulo, Padre, Sam Goku, Kotu, Jayden Klight, Timo Chinala, Varaz and more.

The idea of being "trustless" evokes feelings of having your head a bit up in the clouds. It embraces uncertainty but with an excitement for what might be uncovered. The music of the NWS crew aims to create atmospheres where a distinct emotion isn't so clear. In our current global context we are all asked to embrace the unknown, however we embark on this journey together, not alone. We hope you can find some solace in this special selection of tunes from trustless...
