GC054 - Kellit 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 

One of hottest up & comers around right now is next up to the mixtapes and he's provided us with the finest selection of wax and digital tracks right now!

First things you have to know with Kellit is that ‘the funkier the better’, a statement he encompasses in both his productions and DJ sets. 

Initial underground outings in Birmingham towards the end of his sixth form years was the first taste of the music he has come to know and love.

However, it wasn't until  the full introduction to the Liverpool scene whilst Studying there at University that really cemented this passion. This exposure coupled with heavy influences from his parents' taste in 80's music and disco have really moulded his sound to what it is today.

Kellit’s current direction sees sets full of energy with disco, 80's and acid influences prominent in an all encompassing ‘house’ sound.  Kellit holds releases on labels such See-Saw, Lisztomania, Moiss Music, with a notable number of unreleased projects ready to find a home and many more scheduled for release throughout the year!

With releases on DOBRO, Miura or Good Custard Kellit can look back to a remarkable catalogue of classy House music with a touch of Disco, Deep House and Minimal he has put out over the past two years or as long as he has been producing music. And with the pace and quality the Birmingham-artists has been putting out those cuts, there'll surely follow way more releases in the (near) future. Responsible for the last art:cast episode, Kellit not only compiled a mix that varies or goes back and forth between the before-mentioned genres but gives us the one or the other sneak peak of his future releases - Kellit-style! With the latter being said expect a full hour of dance-able and positive (old school) House vibes to ring in your weekend early.

Kellit’s back catalog is building up quickly with releases on labels such as The BasementDiscos, Lisztomania, Good Custard, Miura, Segniley Wax, Moiss, Underground Sound and more. The output does not stop and there are numerous unreleased projects ready to find a home and many more scheduled for release throughout 2024. Expect to see the name a lot more in the futur

Sinestesia on Ibiza Live Radio #184 - A night w/ Kellit (Good Custard/Disco Exotic - UK)

Opened my hour with another new (and free) one from me, then moved through flavours of disco, funk and various other delights- hitting soulful, exotic and jazzy notes along the way. 

In the second hour I handed over to Kellit for a very special all vinyl set. Kellit is label curator for the fab Disco Exotic, a wicked producer of chunky tunes, a great DJ and a very lovely bloke.
