The single lays foundation for the forthcoming “Psychotropical” album collection with a precise mix of hybrid sounds between old and new. To balance, the multi faceted producer, DJ, live performance artist and Doctor, La Dame contributes a pinpoint rhythmic rework that re-energises its drums and low end frequencies to a snappy bass weight club track.

Some super weird dubstep sounds, Just got such a thrill from the Skream set at The Amp Stage @ Shambhala that I had to go back to the roots and made some weird gritty sounds with blurbs and bloops. Just a work in progress but I intend on finishing this thing!!

Thought of the title while reading Caminelle Paglia's "Cults and Cosmic Consciousness: Religious Vision in the American 1960s". Makes me think of escaping into a virtual or automated world when reality is doing too much. Image is from a cute spot in barbados that is actually unreal.

Over the last month, the music and events industry has entered unchartered territory due to the Covid-19 lockdown, and artists and online media have found themselves in a financially vulnerable position with much more time on their hands. 

To help some of those artists, Ransom Note reached out to some friends of the website with the challenge to make a track in collaboration with another producer, musician or vocalist, remotely, in 10 days. The result is ‘Pen Pals’: a compilation featuring 15 collaborations from 32 artists. We feature Graded artists Tom VR & Otik's contribution titled 'Poly Echo 97'.
