It’s the middle of the summer and we are proud to present the first utterance of our new monthly podcast series with music from friends and foes of the Lurkmusik family.

Once upon a time not very long ago I travelled to a land not very far away: The Smålandian bonnavischa. Some Lurks threw a party, there was barbecue, beers was consumed and tunes were played. I am happy to share this recording of my contribution to the noise pollution in the surrounding area. Hope you will enjoy these tracks, many of which never before published online, but beware! This was made under the influence. Might i suggest you open a cold one or whatever you prefer, sit back and raise the volume. Imagine a bygdegård full of freaks and enjoy the ride.

My 3am set at The Ether stage 🥹 I'm so happy and proud of this set and I feel that it was a wonderful representation of the style of darker hitech I'm trying to cultivate and share.

I was blown away by the amount of people on the dancefloor, and it meant so much to me to have many of my friends make the trek across the festival for my set and for me to see their smiling faces in the audience 😭

This was one of the most amazing things I've ever gotten to do and I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity. Thank you to everyone that made it possible.

And my heart goes out to all of the incredibly talented artists that were supposed to be playing on this stage for the Goa Gil tribute, due to early cancellation of the festival because of bad weather 💔 I was SO looking forward to hearing all of you.

As I stepped onto the Earth Stage at the Texas Eclipse Festival 2024, a rush of excitement flooded through me. It was an honor beyond words to have the opportunity to share my music with the vibrant souls gathered under the canopy of Texas skies. Little did I know that the next few hours would be a journey of transcendence, as the energy of the crowd surged and swirled around us.

The crowd began as a humble gathering, but as the beats echoed through the air, it seemed to grow exponentially, swelling to a couple of thousand souls united by their love for music and the promise of connection. It was as if the very essence of the festival came alive in that moment, pulsating with anticipation and possibility.

As I delved into my set, the energy of the crowd became palpable, a tangible force that seemed to weave its way through the air, connecting each person in a shared experience of euphoria. The music served as our conduit, guiding us on a journey of exploration and self-discovery.

With each beat, each melody, the energy began to coalesce into a tribal frenzy, a rhythmic dance of heaving souls seeking enlightenment through the transformative power of sound. It was a beautiful chaos, a symphony of movement and emotion that transcended language and culture.

As the night unfolded, I found myself lost in the moment, swept up in the collective energy of the crowd. Together, we danced beneath the stars, our spirits soaring as we surrendered ourselves to the music, to each other, and to the magic of the festival.

The next day, in those fleeting hours, time seemed to stand still as we basked in the glow of the Texas Eclipse, our hearts and minds open to the infinite possibilities that lay before us.  I knew that I had experienced something truly special—a moment of pure connection and communion that would stay with me long after the festival had ended.

Performing at the Texas Eclipse Festival 2024 was more than just a gig; it was a privilege, a gift, a chance to be a part of something greater than myself. And as I stepped off the stage, heart full and soul alight, I knew that I would carry the memory of that night with me forever, a reminder of the power of music to unite, to inspire, and to transform.

Texas Eclipse Festival 2024 Set

A voyage through deep space to inner stillness...

Originally, we had prepared to share this meditative sonic experience at the Texas Eclipse Festival just before sundown after the eclipse. Mother Nature had other plans, and after parting the clouds to let us marvel in totality, she sent a storm our way, ending the festival early and sending us back to Austin. There we were blessed with the perfect space to share this cosmic journey. 

After weeks of rehearsing and a truly transformative time at the festival, it was a fitting end to gather with family, friends, and fellow eclipse chasers in the auditorium of @casadeluz_atx for this much-needed integration. Whether you attended the festival or not, we hope you enjoy this 90-minute voyage - a collaboration between @jacqui.mateo and @__souland__ featuring the gong, vocals, and space cello. Listen to the set however you feel called - but if you can find a comfortable space to sit or lay down with headphones or nice speakers and close your eyes we’d recommend it.

Polarians is the Forest/Twilight project from Ruben Sponar, aka Rubuscubus and Joana Gregório, aka Coguie.

Rubuscubus is an Audio Engenieer and Electronic Music Producer sice 2010. Signed to Woo-Dog Records since 2019.
Creating Baselines filled with funky and energetic grooves, his Music turns any dancefloor into a dancing bubbly enchanted Forest tale.

Coguie is a Forest and Twilight DJ since 2012, and Music producer enthusiast and apprentice. Signed to the estableshed label Purple Hexagon Records since 2015.
Characterized for creating deep atmospheric and mind travel Sound Journeys, Loaded with powerful rhythms and spooky foresty Melodies.

Polarians born as a form to synthesize the Polarity on our musical inner essences and inspirations.
Blending them in a symbiosis where both Polar parts, Dark and Light, Day and Night, Sun and Moon, Sound and Silence, Good and Evil, dance harmoniously to show the beauty and power between their union.

To create their unique sounds, they invented and built a sound effect instrument box and by recording everyday objects and integrate these into digital soundscapes, they create their own organic and clear sounds.
This method allows them to combine the best of the digital format and the acoustic recordings made with the sound box.

As owners of their own Modular Synthesizer company CubuSynth (cubusynth.com), they use their own Eurorack Modules to create otherwordly soundscapes and perform live, in order to increase originality and make each of their sets unique.
