Kelvin’s music has taken him to Nashville, where he cut his teeth with some top shelf producers and players. He’s toured through Europe, across the Great White North, and back. As a result, people all over the world have been turned on to his work.

A multi-instrumentalist, Kelvin’s live show incorporates orchestral elements, live drum/vocal loops, top shelf tunes and a whole lotta love. Picture Gordon Lightfoot hanging with The Wailers at a Black Sabbath concert. It’s a Folk Sabbath kinda thing.

Toronto born singer songwriter, Sally McKay, has been writing songs for most of her life. Spanning decades, she's been devoted to a craft that with her latest release, Where The Horses Ran, positions Sally at the very top of her game. Experience, passion and a dogged determinism have seen Sally evolve a pop/indie style very much her own. Rich with reverb guitars, tremolo twangs and a 60s piano style, the songs on Where The Horses Ran, lay out Sally's trademark careening and interwoven melodies. The 10 song collection chronicles a journey that looks at the road travelled between a drive for independence and freedom against the signposts of commitment and attachment. These are heavy matters. Is the record a downer? Far from it! Sally's philosophy, that within sadness there is light and within light there is sadness, has guided the songs, which in every turn explore one of these facets while joyously celebrating the other. A shakeup of Bacharach and Kate Bush, with a splash of Norah Jones, the songs set a spell of calm and space.

Deciding as a teenager that she wanted to pursue music as a career, Sally saved up summer job money, bought a beat-up, pink stained, upright piano along with an acoustic guitar and taught herself enough chords so that she could finally put some music to the songs that were always playing in her head. She eventually formed a band and hit the road, playing bars across Canada throughout the 80's. In the late 80s, she teamed up with friend, collaborator, bass player and future partner, Mike Young. The two started creating a vehicle for Sally's songs. 1995 saw the release of Sally's first CD, Never Say Nice. In 1998, Sally formed a duo with Mike called "Lovage" and together they released the electronic, trip hop inspired, Idiots and Mystics. A shared love of electronic-driven beats saw the pair moving more and more into the dance spectrum, all the while maintaining the shape and melody of song. In 2003, the pair, renamed as Phauna, released Paradise on Toronto's "Play Records". In 2008, Phauna released In The Dark, an EP of love songs with an intimacy and vulnerability that utilized a spare and direct musical backdrop.

With a 10 year break since the last record, Where The Horses Ran, marks a return to pop/torch balladry that essentially shows Sally at one with her past and present. Self-produced and playing keyboards and most guitars, Sally has come to that place that honours our earthly attachments yet honours too, our need for autonomy. Never sugarcoating, the songs face head-on, the nuanced dance between freedom and its opposite, commitment, as they all swirl in place. In the end, Sally has shone a light on that place inside of all of us that remains untouched, wild and true.
