A deep and dark song about sorrow and sadness. Initially written on piano, I decided to add dissonances and abstract soundscapes. I am very happy that Michael leaned into the dark theme and wrote sparse lyrics with a lot of meaning in between the words.

This time, I worked with singing bowls, tongue drums, custom percussions and electronics. This track is the first one, it is based on a tongue drums improvisation and then I added some electronics. Bit of a mixed bag of styles and genres…
consistently amateur and homemade though… and just for the fun of it!

Half the songs here are just me noodling away on my own… (using garageband on my ipad, headphones, and a couple of cheap old guitars).

…the other half are recorded during very occasional jam sessions with some lovely talented old friends, who bring my song ideas to life, spontaneously, usually one-take, having never heard them before.
