This set has been in development for a long time. Originally arranged for 2024 campout season, it was shelved for nearly a year. More tracks were acquired and integrated in 2025, abd a bunch that were originally in didn't make the final cut. I've been taking some time off from DJing while learning to play guitar and pursue other creative outlets, but I felt the inspiration to dust off the decks and finally get this set finished. Dusty Rhino 33 - DJ Dan came out and rocked the Rhino for our joint Dusty Rhino/Opulent Temple party we hosted Tuesday evening of the Burn this year.  It was an eerie night out in the middle of the playa as the dust storm rolled in.  Dan appeared from nowhere and stepped up and rocked this great, rocking and somewhat old school set.  Great preview to our Afterburn party at Public Works we are hosting in October 17....DJ Dan will be coming to rock it again for us...

I had the incredible honor to play for an amazing and welcoming group of individuals at the 9th annual Frolic Campout. This was my first time in attendance, and it proved to be a magical experience that *far* exceeded all of my expectations.

This set was designed around what "frolicking" meant to me. It opened up the Saturday night festivities, winding from a low simmer to a rolling boil. Funky and bouncy and everything in between. Enjoy!

kem live @ Frolic Campout IX (2018)

This year's magical weekend of Frolic included some experimentation with the music lineup including an extended Friday night lineup.

Going with the flow of experimentation, and having just put together a set a few months ago that was mostly Psytrance, I went with something quite different from breaks. In fact, the set is a journey through  progressive house, techno, psytrance, psybreaks, tech house, future house, and more. The one constant from my other sets is you should turn it up for maximum effect ;)

A veteran of the SF underground, Kem started rocking underground parties in 1998 and maintained a busy schedule playing regularly at SF venues for many years. His sought-after and innovative style led to gigs in Japan, Australia, Canada, Mexico and cities across the U.S.

Today kem can be heard rocking dance floors at local favorite events such as FnF and Brass Tax (+Unison stream during the pandemic)

LeftCtrl —(also known as PolyGroovers, or DJ Zeel, real name: Konstantin Gredeskoul) started DJ-ing in the Bay Area in 1998, having been inspired and encouraged by @djethan Ethan Miller (FnF, BrassTax) among others. 

Konstantin produces downtempo music as PolyGroovers, (see https://soundcloud.com/polygroovers for more information).

Starting with the underground rave parties where he threw down Detroit Techno on vinyl, LeftCtrl played all over the Bay Area, with additional appearances in the UK, Spain, and Australia. 

He collaborated with @kem, Captain Tinrib, @henry-navarro and many more.

LeftCtrl's DJ sets feature a storyline, harmonic depth, and a smooth and deep, melodic, nearly always syncopated and groovy sound. Konstantin is an obsessively technical mixer, who admits to the most anal-retentive pitch-matching of the mixes, resulting in some of his entire sets played in the same key.

Since about. 2020, LeftCtrl refocused on the composition and production of tracks for the dance floor: house, progressive, and many genre bending tracks. Currently collecting sufficient portfolio for the upcoming releases in yet to be determined label.
