Working from his hallowed Stockholm bunker with Studio Barnhus label mates Petter Nordqvist and Kornel Kovacs, Swedish art graduate Axel Boman makes music with a rare sense of charm, wit, and humour. In both EP and LP format, he focusses on playful and curious atmospheres, kinked grooves and left of centre sampling. When not making earwormy dance music, in the past he has been found synthesising sound with nuclear physicists as The Radioactive Orchestra and also works on more clubby fair with John Talabot as Talaboman. His sets, too, are just as joyous and off beat, and are as effective for trippy after hour sessions as they are for peak time parties.  

The one hour selection the singular selector cooks up here is something of a curveball, full of unexpected twists and turns that showcase a breadth and depth of his influences whilst sounding perfect for Spring time. It's an effortlessly jaunt through freewheeling melodies, excitable disco groovers and breezy, swinging house all peppered with classics, singalong vocals and feel good gems. Well balanced so as to not be all too sugary, the far ranging mix is another wondrous window into the colourful world of one of house music’s most likeable and easy going characters.

Unser Podcast Nummer 83 kommt diese Woche von niemanden Geringerem als von der bezaubernden und umwerfenden Mira. 

Lange Jahre beeinflusste Mira die ost-deutsche Techno-Szene bevor sie vor ca. 10 Jahren ihre musikalische Heimat in der legendären BAR25 in Berlin, später Kater Holzig und jetzt Kater Blau fand. Während ihrer Zeit in Berlin hat sie ihren ureigenen Sound geformt, der an endlose Nächte voller Wunder und Gefühlstiefe erinnert.

In der Bar25 war es auch, wo sich Miras Wege zum ersten Mal mit Chris Schwarzwalder, NU und Jo Ke kreuzten; daraus entstanden sind nicht nur lebenslange Freundschaften sondern auch kreativer musikalischer Austausch, Kooperationen und ein nicht enden wollender Output an toller Musik.

Jeder, der selbst schon einmal in den Genuss ihrer endlosen Sets gekommen ist, versteht sofort warum ganz Berlin ihren speziellen Sound so sehr schätzt. Warm und  hypnotisierend geht er unter deine Haut und lässt dich mit einem Gefühl tiefer Verbundenheit zurück.

He grew up listening to punk and metal bands, playing drums in several bands.He started making electronic music in 2010 but only last year he released his first vinyl.A month ago he came to berlin with his wife, where they decided to spend some time without many plans.The last two or three years he was quite in his room in Sao Paulo, only making tracks almost every day.He is in the L.A Club Resourse family with his great cassette and LP.He also released with his other project as Seixlack on Bliq and 777 Recordings.He has some dates to play here in Europe.For this year he still has some records to be released.His only plans now are to continue making music and playing.
