Your Summer Sounds 2014 - mixed by KempStarr

DJ Fudge has long been a force in the house music scene since his Trouble Men days on the well-respected Kif Recordings and alongside his good friend Hallex M has carved a notch in the new breed of rare talent over the past years.  Both guys had longed to work with UK soul legend Omar Lye-Fook. And late last year their dream came true when Omar visited Hong Kong where Hallex and DJ Fudge both currently reside and there they worked on two tracks which have had people talking about for the past 6 months.

The first was ‘Simpatico’ which was released on Osunlade’s Yoruba Imprint earlier this summer and has become an anthem from Ibiza to Croatia . The second, ‘Ding Ding’ is very hypnotic, and an instant crowd pleaser when Omar's hooky vocals come in. Omar delivers a stellar performance that has already been getting rave reviews from the few djs that we’ve promoted the track to.

We’ve enlisted the help of three great remixes on this project and will be releasing this package across two packages. First up on release one you will be able to get the Art of Tones remixes, which are simply stunning. Art of Tones is Ludo Llorca and has been making great waves with his sound for the last summer releasing on other labels such as Local Talk. Package two will feature remixes from Loic L and Chicago’s deep house master Glenn Underground who brings an nostalgic classic garage mix.

Dale Howard is a new signing at Morris Audio and has shown his talent already on labels like OFF or Fear of Flying. The Bounce Back EP is a fine example of both old school and new school, with raw subby bass lines, kicking drums combined with  smooth hypnotic chords and a well balanced deepness. Dale loves the classic sounds of 90's US house and garage and you can hear this on this EP. The remix from our friend Washerman (Gianni Siravo from Azuni fame) is again top quality as all his current work. Let’s bounce!

Jamie Jones launches his new subsidiary label of Hot Creations, HOTTRAX with a three track EP of upfront dance floor business. The label will be dedicated to a more underground dance floor orientated aesthetic, only for the headstrong!

 
This three track features phenomenal ‘Change’. Jamie has championed it all summer and as soon as you hear it you’ll realize why. It’s a heady hypnotic brew of oscillator-funk and ghetto-groove, arpeggiating synths bubble hypnotically under the rising ebb and flow of the melody as infectious groove drives you on.. the truth is we are all going through changes!

 
On the flip and Jamie jacks the groove on the ‘Road To The Studio’. Incessant chanting and looped vocals are cleverly layered upon each other creating a impending sense of explosive anticipation as the rhythm effortlessly builds to maximum effect. Finally, the irresistibly charming ‘No Rush’ plays upon retro garage feel while the minor keys serve to create a sense eeriness on the floor. A great closure to a superb three track EP, and what a way to kick off the new label in style. Watch out for HOTTRAX releases in 2013.
