Secret Soul Society get things underway with a simply gorgeous, sun-bright, afternoon-ready neo-Balearic revision of Bonnie & Klein's 'Bourbon Street', before the 'Mass Density Human Sunrise' take on MAKS' 'North' brilliantly blurs the boundaries between breakbeat-driven acid sleaze and picturesque dreaminess. Elsewhere, Gus Patterson delivers a kaleidoscopic, Italo-disco-influenced nu-disco spin on Andy Buchan's 'Piano Hands', Bucan delivers a string-drenched organic nu-disco makeover of Lanowa's 'Feels Like Love', and Bal 5000 reinvents Patterson's 'Montelbano' is a deep, Italo-influenced electro shuffler.
