Great track but I also felt the bass was a bit too prominent when it was mostly solo. Worked well buried in the mix elsewhere.

Nice chilled track and I opposed I think you dirty bass is fine but maybe could have been 2 or 3 dB quieter at times. Some soft female vocals would be a great addition if you were to make a remix.

Nice chill piece. agree with all the others about the nasty effect on the ears. some synth sounds can do that.

With a little change this will become an great relaxing track. Good sound design.

It feels like the lead element is lower in the mix than the support elements - which may be that the bass has more upper harmonics than the lead

I feel the bass+kick is too high in the mix. In the end it does dettract from the other nice sound design elements you have got in there.

Got curious about that often mentioned bass, and played this back using an equal loudness curve. Worked wonderfully. I.E bass is not too loud per se, but rather too enthusiastic in the 3-4 KHz region. otherwise a nice chill track, though perhaps a bit uneventful. The piano patch sounds VERY goood, though !

The drone bass doesn't bother me -- maybe it's due to the speakers I'm listening on vs listening on headphones, but I like it.   Rather than toning it down I would prefer to have it fade in and out more often.  It is a relief at 2:16 when it drops out.

This month's One Synth Challenge uses Ragnarok by FullBucket (and CrimsonWarlock). The slightly odd interface took a wee bit of getting used to but I'll not use that as an excuse for this effort. It does contain some passable bird type noises hence the unrelated reflection of a jungle in my living room. This is a first outing for my Exquis so most of it was recorded from live rather than my usual generated MIDI.

Anyway, this is brought to you with Bitwig Studio 5.3 and 19 instances of Ragnarok.  The following plugins were also used:

- dpMeter5, Blue Cat's Gain 3 and KClip Zero on clip to zero duty
- khs Delay, Reverb and Stereo to tart things up a bit
- Panflow to get it moving
- Bitwig's compressor+, eq+, drum machine, delay+ and multi-note
- the inevitable Valhalla Supermassive and almost as inevitable Raum for some reverb flavours
- TDR Kotelnikov and Nova for mastering with a wee bit of KClip Zero 

Also used Modalics Beat Scholar to generate the MIDI for the percussion and iZotope's Tonal Balance for, er, tonal balancing...
