Der erste Track eines Sets hat für mich immer eine besondere Bedeutung und ist sehr bedacht ausgewählt, da er ausschlaggebend ist ob "Hörer" weiterhören wollen oder zum nächsten Set skippen ☝🏼😜💡. Bis ich einen passenden Intro Song ausgesucht habe, vergeht gern mal eine Stunde bis ich die Aufnahme starte. 😅
Dieser erste besondere Song "Work for Love" ist von Damiano von Erckert aus dem Album "Also Known as Good." aus dem Jahr 2015 und passt auf so viele Art und Weisen zu mir, da der Liebe wegen keine Mühe, Investition oder Zeiteinsatz zu viel oder umsonst ist, sollte es nicht auf Anhieb Erfolge bringen oder zu etwas führen, außer zu Spaß. (in meinem Fall der Liebe zur House-Musik). Die Musik war für mich von Anfang an da und ich lerne gerne etwas neues über Dinge, die mich wirklich brennend interessieren. Daher bin ich nach etlichen Jahren reinem Musikkonsum noch tiefer in die Materie eingetaucht, bin meinem Lieblings-DJs zu Gigs hinterher gereist, in ihre Biographie eingetaucht, ihren Werdegang mit der Musik von klein auf verfolgt, und irgendwann kam bei mir der Wunsch auf wissen zu wollen was ein DJ denn da macht an seinem Pult, ob es schwer ist, ob das Spaß macht usw... und tatsächlich hat es mich komplett in seinen Bann gezogen und ich hatte auch den Drang nun meine eigenen Tracks zu mischen. Ich wollte gar nie vor Publikum spielen, habe es nie in Erwägung gezogen und mich sogar dagegen gewehrt mich vor ein Publikum zu stellen und mich nun zu beweisen, so lange ich mich mit dem Handwerk nicht wirklich auskenne/damit vertraut bin. Ich habe es schlichtweg nur getan, weil ich den Musikzugang habe, eine riesen Bandbreite an guter Musik kenne, einen eigenen Geschmack entwickelt habe und zu Hause coole Sets produziere und oft DJs in Clubs gehört habe, die es nicht können, nichts neues spielen, überhaupt nicht up to date sind, mich nur langweilen, nicht mit einem Lied überraschen und trotzdem nun da spielen. Ich wusste ich "könnte" es schon viel besser....ich wurde jahrelang dazu ermutigt, aufgefordert, genötigt (😂) es zu tun und meine Selbstweifel waren lange Zeit viel zu groß. Mich zu blamieren oder als "Nichtskönner" dazustehen oder Blackouts zu haben viel zu präsent 🤣 Im Endeffekt habe ich nur den Glauben in mich, meine Musik, meine Ahnung und einem guten Bild von mir erlernt, weil ich Freunde kennen gelernt habe, mit denen ich zusammen dieses Hobby ausleben konnte und wir uns gegenseitig einfach so gepusht haben bis wir es irgendwann selbst glaubten. Von allein hätte ich es bis heute nicht geschafft bei einem Gig vor Publikum zuzusagen und ich hatte die Chance es zuerst im Radio zu testen, wo mir keiner auf die Finger schaut. 😛 
Als dann sogar ein Lob für uns von einem ehemaligen Robert Johnson Resident ins Haus flatterte wusste ich wir sind gut. ich bin bereit. ich mach das jetzt.🤩🙏🏼


Abgesehen von meiner Geschichte ist Damiano der Künstler den ich laut Spotify am meisten gehört habe aus 3200 verschiedenen Artists. Daher widme ich ihm den ersten Track. 👑
durch ihn hat auch meine Liebe fürs Robert Johnson begonnen. Dass hier Leute feiern, die House-affin sind und Bock darauf haben, hätte ich nie für möglich gehalten. 🥹 Ich fühle mich hier einfach goldrichtig 💛

Then we’ve got 4 for you this time around, all remixes from Blunted Dummies 1993 ‘House For All’. First up is Berlin-local Ruede Hagelstein with his atmospherically charged remix, taking the tone down just a bit giving the track multiple uses, from home-listening to mid-morning afterhour sets. Celebrating his first Ovum appearance, Louie takes the lead with a whole menu of mixes that provide total mix creativity. The lead mix hits with that essential New York swing.
