I was always interested in music and grew up in a family where music was important and my father was a professional folk musician so a host of musical instuments and keyboards were at my disposal from a young age.
I started to play guitar around 1993 at the age of 13 and formed part of a band called Mimosa around 1995 playing original material in clubs and pubs and also spending a week in the studio recording an album.
I started DJing around 1995 playing mostly acid techno, trance and goa trance and attended many parties and events. 
After 10yrs on the dancefloor I started mixing psy-trance and playing at outdoor parties and events with the Trauma Trance collective under the DJ name Psyzone. 
I also started to produce morning psy trance/progressive psy around 2006 under the artist name of Altruism Connective. 

I played at a number of parties and clubnights throughout the North East and beyond.  
Highlights of playing with the Trauma collective included outdoor parties in England, Scotland and Wales and further afield.
In 2008 I played my first live set  under the artist name of Altruism Connective. 

In more recent years I have been producing tracks under the artist name of Particle Matters.

Recent highlights have included playing at Eden Festival in Scotland and acting as resident at Tynepsyde since 2010 with a series of outdoor parties between.

In the future I hope to develop and evolve my sound and to continuing partying, producing, playing live and DJing.
The current style I am looking to produce with the Particle matters project is Morning Psy with full on elements and live guitar/instruments.
