Closer Distancing

Feeling the impact of further lockdown measures announced, as well as an attempted burglary on my house, last week was a pretty heavy one to say the least. Thankfully music is always a way out of anything. So I picked out a few tunes that were giving me a helping hand and put together an impulsive Closer Distancing mix. Lots of dreamy synths, some mysterious vocals and a good dose of filth in this! I hope you enjoy!

Closer Distancing - Impulsively Closer

I put this together for a top man who most of us have shared the dance floor with during the 2000's. "Mad Mark" sadly passed away recently, so I wanted to do this little tribute to him and try to reflect his personality in the music.

He loved melodic progressive house and techno, was always full of humour, very cheeky, loved a breakdown and I always remember he had a great dance style, moving up and down and side to side. He was a regular at our amazing Aztec nights and never failed to make me laugh. So this mix isn't a builder like my Closer Distancing sets. I've just tried to play tunes that I know we danced together to, with some nice breakdowns and one or two slightly mad mixes.

The last Closer Distancing of this bleak social distancing year, as we move into 2021. Just a collection of tunes that have been soothing for the soul for me recently.
