Kenny LaBorde has been singing and playing the drums for the past 40 years. His love of music began as a child growing up in New Orleans, Louisiana, just steps away from Bourbon Street. Not only an accomplished drummer and percussionist, Kenny is also a talented songwriter and charismatic singer. His sultry & soulful vocals are a perfect compliment whether he is providing main or backing vocals. 

Kenny has lent his talent to a number of professional bands over the years. He has played an essential role in bands such as Blackwater, What tha Deuce, Midnight Lightning, LA-9 and Nighthawk. Along the way, Kenny has had the opportunity to work with many great artists including Cliff Morton of Wild Cherry as well as Little Guitar Pickett, and was a member of Ace Cannon's house band. Kenny has entertained countless audiences all over Louisiana, Arkansas & Texas at some of the South's top venues including the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium on the very stage made famous by Elvis Presley, The Coliseum, in Hot Springs, Bourbon Live on Bourbon Street in New Orleans,and countless local nightclubs and festivals. This is probably the most "Real Deal" music in the country realm/Americana I have encountered in my 35 years in Nashville. I have to thank my dear friend, Greg Grisham for introducing me to Sam Jacobs and Bud Hollars... I produced this album back in the 90s to document these songs that Sam and Bud sang and played for me in the cabin shown here in the picture, one beautiful musical evening.  The songs were written by Bud Hollars, Raymond Hollars and Sam Jacobs. Rob McClain of more recent OmegaLab fame is who recorded and mixed the project. Bud lost his life to cancer years ago. And now Sam Jacobs also lost to cancer. RIP. These are timeless songs and true American folk/mountain artists whom I love...  - TONY GERBER

Denise Peachey
The blues styling of Denise Peachey's Gypsy Piano Blues has been said to liven up the Avenue in the November 2009 performance series in the Bloomfield section of Pittsburgh. A proud native Pittsburgher, Denise has released three CDs, appeared on the "Code Pearl" tribute CD to Janis Joplin (of which the proceeds were donated to Hurricane Katrina relief efforts), and has played for the Baltimore Jazz & Blues Festival and the Federal Hill Jazz & Blues Fest with her former band Gypsy & Crazy Moon. Peachey has received radio play on Bzoo Homegrown Radio, Pitt Radio, Crossfire Radio, Fat Cat Radio and Nette Radio and has also gotten airplay in Australia, France and England.
(*Gypsy plays piano-and sings...all parts on recordings piano-lead rythym and bass are played straight on piano, not programmed..drums on drum machine are created live for each recording except when not using drum machine)

Gypsy Piano Blues,I play piano blues and Gypsy was a nickname many moons ago and I put it together..but Gypsy Piano Blues does mean,piano jazz..swing..traditional..blues..roots..so in a fated way it still fits together like peices in a puzzle...
