SCENT OF NATURE

This song wrote itself, a slow 'Eco ballad' with a powerful message.I  sat at my piano and started playing, this song was the result. it wasn't planned and I wasn't intending to write anything. The words say it all, 'If you can't hear the Earth's cry then listen to your conscience'....

And in the rumble of the thunder when the lightning strikes the ground

So listen when the wind blows take a listen to the rain
The Earth is asking us to stop, stop and think then think again
The very air around us the ground beneath our feet
The water we all need for life this Earth has given us for free

But the price that its now paying was never part of the grand plan
We’re taking more than it can give us, is that the legacy of man
Mother nature has her limits there’s only so much she can give
The time for change is here and now if on this world we are to live

We need to stop and listen try to understand The Cry
The Earth is calling out to us and it waits for our reply
We must stop all this destruction and we have such little time
It’s a must do situation and if we fail this world may die

So listen when the wind blows take a listen to the rain
The Earth is asking us to stop, stop inflicting all this pain
If you cannot hear The Cry and all you hear is silence
The Cry’s still there for you to hear just listen to your conscience

Amigos is a song that has come a long way hahaha… I composed it in 1998 dedicated to a friend of mine, I recorded it in a studio in Madrid in 2015 and now I have dared to upload it here. He talks about the different kinds of friends that we meet in life, of course for my friends I will also belong to one of them. I hope you identify some that you have surely come across.

friends who learned to walk with you
counselor friends are your guide,

friends you sadly left behind,
friends who are hooked like barnacles,

Amigos es una canción que tiene recorrido jajaja…la compuse en el año 1998 dedicada a un amigo mío, la grabé en estudio en 2015 y ahora me he atrevido a subirla aqui. Habla de las diferentes clases de amigos que nos vamos encontrando en la vida, por supuesto para mis amigos yo también perteneceré a una de ellas. Espero que identifiquéis alguna que seguro vosotros os habéis encontrado.

This was one of the stories missing from the earlier part of the project.  I've done a lot of illuding to the systemic problems renters face.  We'll here's a sardonic tale that just so happens to be true-ish.  Wouldn't want it to be too on the nose.  Besides, I think a composite story shown through composite characters becomes much more profound than a straight tale.
