My name is TAKAMATSU, and I create smooth jazz tracks mainly featuring the electric bass while working as a company employee.
I play the electric bass because I want to make stylish music that fits the vibe of Tokyo.
I mostly listen to crossover jazz such as R&B and smooth jazz,
but the songs I create are more like “wannabe smooth jazz.”

Laura Camacho started her music career as a teenager in her hometown of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Most of her strongest childhood memories include live music by legends like Osvaldo Pugliese, Juan Falú, and Filarmónica del Teatro Colón. She specialized in classical double bass, while remaining active in her obsession: tango music. As a member of Las Del Abasto, she opened for premiere tango acts such as Sexteto Mayor and Mariano Mores. After being offered a scholarship at the University of Georgia, she moved to Athens, Ga, where she found there to be a lack of tango music. Camacho assembled a group of top-notch local musicians from the community who were willing to learn to perform tango music. The group's collective of world-class musicians have played with the likes of Bela Fleck, Ben Folds, Tanghetto, Catupecu Machu, Cee-Lo Green, Deerhunter, members of Drive-By Truckers, members of Olivia Tremor Control and Circulatory System, Herbie Hancock, Diana Krall, Las Del Abasto, Layma Azur, and Christian McBride. The result is the Athens Tango Project.
