A piece for the Yamaha Disklavier (computer operated grand piano) written for W.A.A.P.A's Conlon Nancarrow Tribute night, which it won the award for.  

Teras (Vouris 2012)

A canon, a mutant, a monster and a malign growth that feeds itself.
In 'Teras' forms and shapes are created by pitch intervals that draw out lines, contours and rhythmic formations to explore textural possibilities on the Disklavier. By treating each octave as a separate voice with its own contrasting and shifting measure. Each part  phases in and out to open up and reveal different sound colours, shifting like teutonic plates in a mass of sound.
