No stranger to the decks, @Kerosine-1 wraps up the first quarter of flyover with a sonic journey after working behind the scenes on the project. 

Though he says it’s not intentional, he captures the many vibes of pandemic living in mix form. Moving seamlessly from sad, longing, atmospheric tracks made all the dreamier by the additional reverb to nightmarish looping vocal samples drowned out by static, this mix sounds like what the past 13 months have felt like... he said it “was just like, these are the fucking tracks. These are the ones that are really hitting right now….I tend to look for tracks that have that wavy, Warp [Records] nostalgic type sound, with really melancholy melodies.”

Special release for this week, Meet Me By the Seaside (Remix EP) by Massooud and remixes by Mert Bindebir, Akın Orbay and Agog Monk.

Ambient house is the genre for this project, the ambience is inspired from waves, birds and synths creating a unique a vivid experience where each version of the track is telling a different story. We have  also arranged the original mix with the 3 remixes in one continuous mix to optimize the experience.

Meet Me By the Seaside (Continuous Mix)

With this mix for the Ever Afters 2023 campout, I wanted to help set the stage (literally) for the lineup that Envelope booked for the Yurt. This took three forms: lesbian soundsystem music to establish dancing in that room as a norm (prog); dark and percussive and carnal tracks to open the gates for wider tempos and sonic palettes (dnb); and experimentally-focused pieces to acknowledge the history of the Yurt as a site of primarily ambient casting (experimental ambient). It works best I think if you imagine yourself in the depths of the California midlands, huddled under swerving UFO lights as the hours from 3-5am careen by 🖤

by record labels such as Leftback Records, Time Has Changed,
Baile Muzik, etc.
He is also currently the owner of his vinyl-only label “Dulceată”.
Illan finds inspiration collecting vinyl records he carefully selects.
Indeed, he chose only to perform using those records in order to
produce the purest sound possible on set.

Nova has always been passionate about music. Enchanted from an early age by singing and playing piano, she was part of several musical groups with very varied repertoires, ranging from classical gospel, to acapella to rock. Subsequently, she developed a keen interest in electronic music, which allowed her to explore all the nuances and subtleties of sound. Her years of experience as a singer and pianist have given her the tools to create melodies rich in harmony and depth. It is through hypnotic rhythms and mesmerizing melodies that she makes us feel a range of emotions and making the experience unforgettable. As a result of her passion and hard work, Nova quickly made a name for herself on the Montreal underground music scene. She was noticed by several music events collective including Dome of Faith, Front Rite, Hidden Garden, Say no more, Monkey Buzinezz, Dark night, FKM, who invited her to take part in their events in renowned places in Montreal including Salon Daomé, Newspeak, Theatre Fairmount, NewHaus, Club pelicano and at festivals (Atmos, Eclipse, Origine). In early 2020, she shared the stage with an international artist Miss Monique. Since, she is determined to make people dance through her sounds.

Tanz Klub Vol. 3: A Pulse Beneath the Neon Veil

Beneath the dim glow of neon lights, Tanz Klub Vol. 3 unfolded like a heartbeat...a pulse shared between bodies, beats, and moments. The air, thick with anticipation, hummed with the promise of release. This was no mere gathering; it was a sanctuary, a communion, a collective exhale.

From the first notes spun by Mitchell, the room seemed to breathe in unison. Each beat wove threads of electricity through the crowd, stitching together strangers and familiars into a single rhythm. The decks glimmered, catching the reflections of the many souls entranced by the music. Somewhere within the movement, a quiet intensity emanated, knowing that this night, this dance, was fleeting and eternal all at once.

Clinton stepped in and shifted the tone, as if tracing a new path through the night. His music felt purposeful yet effortless, each track stirring something raw and untamed in the crowd. Feet shuffled, hands lifted, and the floor seemed to vibrate with a shared momentum. Time slipped away, leaving only movement, sound, and the lingering glow of connection.

For me, this night wasn’t about getting the perfect shot or seeking anything in particular. It was about being present, letting the energy carry me as much as it carried everyone else. I moved between the edges of the room and the thick of the dance floor, drawn to small moments: the way light curved around someone’s silhouette, how a beat seemed to pull a collective gasp from the dancers, or the way Clinton and Mitchell both lost themselves in their craft. Sometimes I’d lift my camera; sometimes I’d just watch, letting myself be a part of it all.

Tanz Klub Vol. 3 wasn’t just a party; it was a reminder of why I keep coming back to these nights. It’s the music, sure, but it’s also the people...the quiet conversations at the edges, the joy on the floor, the sense that for a few hours, we all belong to something bigger than ourselves. That’s what sticks with me, even after the music fades and the lights come back on.

This is Tanz Klub: a pulse beneath the neon veil, a story told in beats and breath.

While traversing a realm of appearances many truths are heard and not seen. An audio representation of a moment in time captured and preserved - a sonic photograph. This recording is one such artifact, one that for me illustrates a fine line bordering cosmos and chaos. Something that can not be duplicated during a controlled studio session which is absent of collective effervescence. So far from a quiet game of solitaire, but more a test of faith where reckless abandon embraces instantaneous risk. The evening was a spiritual conversation that embraced us all through the magical forces of music set beneath a canopy of trees, sprouting from the grounds of an enchanted forest. Evidence of the artist’s hand and thought process is unforgivingly present while creating a range of possibilities for spontaneous storytelling surrounded by an atmosphere of ecstatic energy. This memory will live with me forever.

Under his solo alias, AИTITHESIS, Jack Denney (1/3rd of Ternion Sound) continues his explorations into dark percussive dance music, textural ambient spaces, and various nodes along the Hardcore Continuum.  The project threads a line through the eras of early 90s Jungle, Hardcore, and Gabber; through the 2000s Techstep, Neurofunk, Dark Garage, and Dubstep; and into today’s near genre-less explosion of new synthesis technologies and advancements in timbre and groove focused musics.  This darker side of dance music encapsulates the feelings of dread, malaise, awe, amazement, anxiety, and wonder associated with existing in postmodernity.  All of this is packaged in tightly packed DJ performances meant to offer a place of catharsis, bonding, and expression through dance for the listeners.

This program’s mission is to create a space for artists to tell their story. The BASSment has been a place for so many artists to feel free to play music they may not normally get to play out. During the interview segment the guest artist will get to talk about where they have come from, things they are working on and where they would like to see themselves going in the future. There will also be a Q & A segment led by questions submitted by listeners and followers of the channel.
