Poly Styrene was talking of societal collapse back in the 1970’s with her lyrics on the X-Ray Spex debut album ‘Germ Free Adolescents’ and the ‘Day the World Turned Day-Glo’ was a standout. A tale of nuclear fallout and capitalist consumerism.

Not much has changed politically or socially since then.

Having previously released songs about health anxiety (I type this now with my “bad thumb), investment fads and Victorian urchin-turned-DJ ‘Oliver Twist’, the stomping, rocket fuelled psychedelic new wave psychonauts; Time Dilation Unit along with Momoe Tasker (lead singer and artist from queer punk band GUTTS) are fusing their sax-oriented sounds and releasing a new version of the track.

I trained as a jazz musician initially on piano and vocal, but I also have a taste for dark, heavy and satirical music and whatever best matches how I feel at the time.  I play all my own instruments, but then so does everybody these days, it's (rightly) what you do with them that counts.
