Recently I invited DJ Sideways @sideways2k again to do a guest appearance on my channel. this time we do a b2b session together, what feels really amazing to me because it's something we never did before so far. What I really appreciate, he's someone with so many facets, what makes it allways exciting and fascinating to pull some veg out with him. So I  do a follow up alongside his amazing selection.  Our session goes from dub to some lovely ambient stuff over eclectic to even electro, heavy basslines and everything inbetween. (Check out his latest electro mixes around that genre on his Soundcloud - pure magic!)

Like the last collab, what we did together with our good friend Chris from Noosa Soundsystem, this one is also a 100% fun project what developed out of a spontaneous idea and came to life  very quickly. With so much space to try things out...nice & easy from the first moment, but also respectful for the output of the other one. And there's no determined frame concerning styles and genres...what otherwise make things sometimes a bit boring and predictable in my view..
but we both love diversity, hence it's full of little suprises and unexpected twists and turns as it unfolds more and more. it's that kind of freedom and calm vibe without the need to talk too much about. it all comes as it will intuitivly  ...so hope you enjoy our set. Cheers. <3

For almost 20 years, James Steer has consistently and unassumingly contributed to the after-hours soundtrack of Melbourne. Well respected within the underground Melbourne DJ community, James has built a reputation as a selector who deftly balances exquisite taste with technical execution. James cut his teeth as one of the founders of the legendary Deep Chord Melbourne parties in the early noughties, showcasing the emerging deep minimal sounds of the time to an eager and receptive audience. The party started off as an intimate affair in the confines of the upstairs space of Pony Bar (later Boney), before finding a true home in the legendary basement space of the Mercat Cross. Since then, James has regularly graced the decks at some of Melbourne’s most iconic nightspots, equally adept at delivering funk and disco laden suppertime soundtracks as heaving excursions into deep dance floor dynamics. I have experienced a lot of different electronic types and styles during my musical biography which began in the 8oies as a teen with Postpunk and dark wave and develloped further with Ska, Reggae, Jungle, Drum 'n Bass and Techno. Reggae and the Jamaician Soundsystem Culture had also a big influence to me, after visiting Jamaica for two times at the end of the 90ies...

Dubtechno became a very special role to me cause of its introvert meditative attitude which fits very good to me now in the present time.

So music is much more than entertainment to me and shaped my personality by getting much energy from it.
And this is something, what I want to bring over in my diverse and genres overarching mixes.

P.S.: I distance myself from any extremist ideas and religious or political brainwashing attitudes. As well as stigmatization of any kind. I do this to the best of my knowledge and belief.
