It's a great pleasure for me, to present another guest mix on my channel. 
This time from Sa3b from Beirut/ Libanon who is also one of my continuous motivators what really means a lot to me!

Sa3b is a talented DJ and producer/remixer specializing in dub techno, renowned for his captivating sets and deep, atmospheric soundscapes. With a passion for electronic music rooted in the genre's history, Sa3b has honed his skills and developed a unique musical identity. 

What I personal like the most of his sets are his really raw and monotone minimal taste and flavours which he has already shown on many podcast series.

I guess,it's time for some more Moments Of Light 'n Darkness by myself, to keep myself together in these times. When I upload something on my Soundcloud channel, you can be sure it is always with an idea that it may does something useful for the listener, too. Like calming or grounding a bit, come in a different mood, feeling touched, seen or recognised etc...Can relate to these ups and downs in this installement very much what this jam has assembled now.

The cover is a drawing by my son when he was at a younger age. Can't remember exactly how old...but he still was at primary school ...it was inspired by the Zendoodle style I had discovered for myself in that time..to calm myself...maybe a forerunner of this neurographic drawing, what is getting popular since a certain time...not the baddest thing in my view.

"As I like to add some extra Seabra Monkey sauce to all my mixtapes, I spoiled a bit too much on this one! Out of twelve tracks, eleven are edited in some way or another. Some small, some big. The mixtape has musical influences of genres like Dubtechno, Experimental, Ambient and Industrial. The tracks that needed a pull back into the Dub genre have added synths, reverbs, echoes and other stuff. This mixtape is special to me as during the process I kept on editing tracks. I really love his way not making big words about huge things he gets spinning and rolling -  also with his growing YouToube Channel, where one by one well known gives each other the handle to present themselves with a dubtechno mixtape. Sideways for MLD - guestmix

It's really such a pleasure for me to have one of my favorite producers here as a guest DJ in the mix for some Moments Of Light 'n Darkness. You find his tracks regularly in my sets. I love his way to interpretate dub techno and dark ambient stuff also. He also has a wide range of styles in his background wether more housy stuff or some weird and sonic eighties flavours.
Now he comes with such a deep and ritch dubby set with so much light and energy.

It's a selection of faster, harder tracks which is a side of dub techno I think is often overlooked. Guestmix Lonerist For Mld

This selection contains a melange of tracks from my first three mixes when I started to upload in public here on SoundCloud in early Summer 2021. I had the feeling that I want to come back to this beginnings and set them in a different view after my following processing. So it is also a bit back and forth now -  especially because it contains  this remix of this Ann Clark track from Marc Romboy which has a straight connection to the start of my musical biography in my teens. She was always such an  impressing artist to me with her speech lyrics and actually "Our Darkness" was my hymn from her when I was about 16. I am very greatful I got in touch with such kind of indi stuff in that time - so serious and sad, I really felt that. Some things never change inside. It keeps it real, I guess.

This was my set for Radio Corax/ Schallwurm (Homezone) at Feb 10th 2024. I'm really happy for this opportunity (Thanks again to Matt Ponsi who made this contact.🙏) 
Schallwurm/Homezone is a show on Radio Corax with a musical direction on Techno – Minimal – Electro – House – Trance – EBM – Industrial – Independent – Dance etc. 
It is broadcasting every second Saturday from 09:00  to 10:00 p.m. and fourth Saturday of the month from 10:00 p.m. to midnight. 
95.9 MHz VHF between Halle and Magdeburg and worldwide in the Internet live stream (good transmission via radio.de app/ radiocorax)

Sai for Radio Corax (Homezone/Schallwurm)

Francesco Tamborrano is a DJ and a producer who I recognised recently via the nice ECOUL SND label from Nicolas Barnes (Riga, Latvia). So I was very pleased, when he offered  to do a guest mix for MLD! 👍🙏

He is a Venice based producer who focuses dub techno sounds with bass lines borrowed from techno and deep house to build a “melting Electronic”: sometimes hypnotic, sometimes raw, sometimes groovy. His first EP ‘Soft’ released earlier this year on ECOUL SND label ,he’s now working on follow up releases and some of the present and future tracks are played in this mix.

This is what he is personally saying about it:

Imperfect - MLD Podcast - Guest Mix

And now for something completly different... 
This is a mix I recorded a few days ago and I was listenting to it the whole weekend while I finished my decorations at my treasure island at Havelland. 🎆🖼️ It represents my mood in the moment and I decided, I wanna slap it out now in this moment when my mood is current and relevant to it. So I publish this one out of a row now, quiet quickly  after my last MLD 33 what was a bit like a recap. So these two mixes has a connection to each other even though they are so different. And also comes from different gengres.

So how it came to this MLD 34: After some memories came back recently I had the feeling  I wanna do something "real" with heavy guitar sounds, basslines and drums with big emotions and all of that - how I used to  ... So I created this wild one in a classic mixtape style with some pieces you might not expect. And to make it a bit more fun, no tracklist.  I call it "Loco Glitch - Mixtape" what feels like a suitable introduction.  No joke, trust me, haha!

I have to say also that some ingredients in this selection are inspired from a recommended sauce of a dubhead fellow who gave me a hint to check out some things I didn't recognised yet in their full potentials. So thanks for that! (Maybe you remember when you might read this - this is the resuslt.)

When I was listening to this MLD No. 34 after I put things together it suprised me, that there can be found some, in my view  typical "Sai" elements, which goes through my mixes no matter what it is. And these are: melancholia, hypnotic athmosphere, repeating sequences, bit weird stuff often with a bit fury plus ambivalent facets which get in touch and find new meanings in the context of the  whole installement..simply light & darkness.  Something I allways put my focus on. It feels good to me when music fulfill these criteria independently of the gengre. It calms and grounds me as I said often before. That's why I hate it  when someone wants to talk to me when I'm listening to music, or even worse: people stand in front of me and talking all the while. I can be very serious then, I know that. So be careful, haha!

MLD No. 34 //The Loco Glitch - Mixtape

Please welcome my next guests on MLD - this time with an extraordinary journey from a project called AnTi.
This name stands for the collaboration between DJ Noizia and her partner Timo Reitzklang. While Timo for me is well known for his great Dubtechno Sets, AnTi goes more into the Hypnotic Techno direction and engage in Industrial elements. In this collab they  put their musical key experiences together and create a very special atmosphere with an almost transcendental energy. I really love that!
What fascinates me also is this fine meditative and restrained attitude while the mood appears really dark and mystic.

The next guest mix entered my channel and I am so glad about one hight quality installement after another!!!

And now I have a Dub Techno set from behalf of this project, which is Timo Reitzklang, Germany. (from the nice area we call Sauerland) I came across him because of his nice Dubtechno mixes on other Podcasts Series.
He has a long history as a DJ, started in the middle of the 90ies with Techno and Trance, in particular inspired by the Techno sound of Frankfurt in the early 90s (Harthouse, Eye Q etc.)  For the last 20 years, he has concentrated on Techno, Progressive House and Dub Techno. And finally, he started producing his own tracks. On MLD he presents himself with this deep and athmospheric Dub Techno set, Thanks a lot to contribute with this very appreciated creation, what makes my system slowing down and gives me a very relaxed mood.

I have experienced a lot of different electronic types and styles during my musical biography which began in the 8oies as a teen with Postpunk and dark wave and develloped further with Ska, Reggae, Jungle, Drum 'n Bass and Techno. Reggae and the Jamaician Soundsystem Culture had also a big influence to me, after visiting Jamaica for two times at the end of the 90ies...

Dubtechno became a very special role to me cause of it's introvert meditative attitude which fits very good to me now in the present time.

So music is much more than entertainment to me and shaped my personality by getting much energy from it.
And this is something, what I want to bring over in my diverse and gengre overarching mixes.

P.S.: I distance myself from any extremist ideas and religious or political brainwashing ideas. As well as stigmatization of any kind. I do this to the best of my knowledge and belief.
