Testing out my newly acquired Universal Audio Apollo interface with it's amazing UAD-2 plugins. This is a short clip from a song called 'RSVP' by one of my favorite metal bands Scribe.

In this clip I've used the Studer 800 tape simulator on input while (quad) tracking the guitars, as well as in the DAW on each guitar channel. The tape was lightly saturated on input but not in the DAW, where it's just adding a hint of color and helping 'glue' the guitars together. I've also used the Studer on the snare, along with the 1176LN compressor and Pultec EQ. 

Guitar tone is all Axe-Fx: 2 tracks of PVH 5105 + German 4x12 and 2 tracks of Recto New + Metal 4x12. Drums are Toontrack S2.0.
