Fox is the face behind one of Leeds' well-recognised club nights House of Tech, who were throwing sell out parties pre-lockdown and I'm sure will continue to do so this summer ☀️

Heavily influenced by the shuffling rhythms of dark UK garage, atmospheric techno and deep melodic house, Somersault’s music has found its way onto labels such as Kerri Chandler’s Mad Tech, Whoyostro and Suprematic.  The Australian producer now fires up a classy two track release for Ben Rau’s impeccable META label.

Lead track, ‘Persistence’, chugs along at a hypnotic pace, waves of euphoric piano stabs slide into the deep bass groove, accompanied by sweet vocal hooks, for a top drawer, hands in the air, deep and driving cut.  ‘Argumenta’ is built upon a bouncing rhythm, with swinging percussion and crisp hats for a solid backbone, as supple guitar licks and soothing pads yield syrupy melodies.

Two enthralling tracks here from this flourishing talent, and another powerful entry into META’s catalogue.

At only 20 years old Josh's receiving support from the some of the heavyweights in the game such as the likes of Jamie Jones, Mason Collective & Jaden Thompson. He also has a track on Yelrae's Soundcloud called 'Feel Like This' which has racked up over 50k plays and has also been feature on UFO beats! Josh's next release is on the 10th of July for Libero Records VA, it's an absolute stomper of a track so make sure you go check it out. Sesh With Kesh 005 - Josh Burnett

Introducing @j-evansmusic for our new Orangecast.

After spending the past few months focusing all of his time and energy onto his own record label @surge_records which has seen releases from really talented artists such as Artmann, Parsec, Mateo Dufour and many more. J-Evans is back to focusing on his own personal development.

This mix features tracks from the likes of AWSI, Prodot, Cajal and many more.

Decay lead from the front once more with Decade Made 7, another vital various artists EP which marks the label’s 7 year anniversary and features red hot underground talents Mihai Popoviciu, James Dexter, Christian Burkhardt and Ray Mono.

The goal of Decay Records has always been to push quality, hypnotic, dubby grooves withoutfocusing on trends or hype, something they have done consistently since their launch in 2013 and continue to do here with their 7th birthday release, Decay Made 7.

Kicking off this latest VA from the label is Romanian Mihai Popoviciu, considered one of the most innovative eastern European producers of electronic music today. He opens with ‘Biology’, a bubbly, deep cut groove with slick hits gliding up top. It’s a track full of warmth that sinks you into a glazed-eye reverie. Dessous, Lefroom and Inermu associate James Dexter is a young but vital talent who represents the new wave of artists that are simmering in the London deep house underground. His ‘And Then’ has long legged, dubbed out kick drums that make for a cavernous groove, whilst smeared, warped chords fill in the spaces and ensure an ever-headier atmosphere as things roll on. 

Christian Burkhardt has long been at the heart of the freshest tech house, putting out his well-designed loops on mainstay labels. Here he serves up ‘Quanta’, an icy-cool track with tripped out sonic details and sci-fi effects that make for real mind music. Last of all, former Mono_Cult resident and now Fuse and Moxy Music associate Ray Mono brings his expert minimal to the EP with ‘Uncut.’ It is a tough, bumping cut with razor sharp design and a pristine sense of late night funk finished with neon synth colours. 

These are four perfectly designed and infectious tracks that are both slick and compelling.
