Sesh With Kesh is back for February with none other than Momo. I recently sat down and got some ideas flowing amongst friends (including Momo) and decided from now on I'm going to be dropping an interview with the artists from now on. So here below we have a little Q&A from the main himself 🤩

Who are you?  

I am Momo/George. I'm a DJ from Lincoln, been mixing for around 6 years and have ended up currently playing a lot of 90s house, garage and trance.

Who inspires you? 

DJ wise the main inspiration for my mixing has to be Skream. Might be a weird choice seeing as we play different music but seeing him play All Night Long sets a few times, he really does push the boat out when it comes to bending genres, BPM's, vibes to create something really special. I always try and create something that feels alive in my mixes, slower parts and quicker parts, sections with a lot of agro and sections that are more discreet.

What is your sound? 

My sound is a blend of 90s progressive house, UKG, trance and techno, I play it all in this mix. A few parties over the last year or two have pushed me to play 'party music' basically meaning, if it sounds good to me and I would shake my ass to it, then I'll play it.

When did you start your journey? 

Summer 2016. I had been to festivals before then but when I started to go to house events at Uni and speaking to the promoters I got a pair of DDJ-SB2's ASAP. From there I just sat in my room mixing all day every day. I watched one video when I first got them on how to set them up but from then on, it was just all trial and error.

Where are you located and where do you wanna go? 

Lincoln, UK. Honestly, right now Manchester seems to be the place to be. I am originally from Essex, so moving back down south was always the plan but after visiting Manchester a few times it's obvious that's where any up and coming DJ's/Producers/Promoters etc need to be in the UK currently.

Why is music important to you? 

It's hard to put my finger on it. The music is amazing, it's cliche but its a 'good escape from the real world'. If I am 100% truthful it's actually more the dance floor that's important to me. The energy on a dance floor to me is magic. Both being in it and selecting music for it, it really is special. The happiness and the dancing and the smoking area chats and the old friends and new friends all being friends together, that's a really unique feeling you don't get anywhere else.

Sesh With Kesh 023 - Momo

Introducing Kesh Loi. A front runner in a new generation of production prodigies. His EP’s have a reputation of smashing the charts, with his first solo EP ‘Peach’ on LuvRhythm Records breaking into the top 10 global releases and his most recent release ‘Conga Bonga’ on Friktion storming the Minimal / Deep Tech Releases charts, reaching #9.

Kesh’s sound is not only unique in its energy, but unique in its creation. Constructed through years of hard work in the studio and memories fashioned on a number of dance floors, Kesh can safely say that his music is not only individual to himself but it sure to get a reaction from any crowd he plays to. Taking elements from UKG, 90’s House and Electro, Kesh has distinguished himself as none other then a certified party starter and in the ever-changing sound of house music, he stays true to making music that almost anyone can dance to.

His sets are also nothing to sleep on, forming journeys that span for as long as he is allowed to play. Defying genre boundaries, the only things consistent in Kesh’s sets are the high octane, high energy vibe and the growl of a 90’s influenced bassline.
