We are happy to welcome Maceo Plex to Drumcode with the fourth instalment of his Conjure series, ‘Conjure Infinity’. Featuring two tracks ‘Conjure Dreams’ and ‘Conjure Floyd’, both are peak time monsters that introduce two very different elements. ‘Conjure Dreams’ utilises a groovy, melodic bass that is reinforced using tight thumping drums to shatter any dance floor into the universe. ‘Conjure Floyd’ builds into a more ‘heads down’ techno vibe with a very interesting breakdown. Two sure fire tracks to ignite the floor.

Munk's latest album has been out for a couple of months. Its initial success has called for a re-take on some of the tracks. To get the balance of age Mr.Munk also also asked the two kids from COEO to remix 'Cartoon'. The boys just had a massive hit on Toy Tonics records - occupying no.1 on the Traxsource sales charts for over 6 weeks with their hit Natural Riddim.  Check out their interpretation of Cartoon here.

The basis of any great partnership is how one complements the other, which in the case of the Adrians, was evident from the outset.

While one had honed his musical chops with House for the US and Detroit Techno, the other dwelled in deep melodies and European techno. In the world of dance music, where producers might spend a few nights DJ’ing and some DJ's may dabble in producing, their partnership has mastered both while bridging the perspectives of two varied backgrounds bound by the ultimate desire to forge a unique sonic signature and connect with the audience that shares in their deeply held belief that music is meditation. Forging relationships with artists and labels that share in their sensibilities, Adriatique has released on Zurich's Cityfox, LA's Culprit, New York's Wolf & Lamb, London's Supernature, Canada’s My Favorite Robot and most frequently, Hamburg's Diynamic. 

Frankey and Sandrino, have been active with electronic music for well over a decade now. While Franky is a schooled musician who had already released a string of LP's and EP's, Sandrino started his career in 2003 with a residency at Germany's Butan Club. The duo of Frankey and Sandrino soon discovered their shared interest in deep and melodic music and started producing together. It didn't take too long until Four:Twenty Records and Moodmusic picked up their first releases.

Today we have a very special gift for you with a brand new track from Frankey and Sandrino, 'Lost,' featuring Adriatique on the remix duties. The track is an atmospheric and steady builder, with a distorted vocal and choppy bassline.

Premiere: Hohberg & Butch “Losing Gravity”

With his last EP offering on Keinemusik, &ME displayed himself once again as supplier of anthems that easily reconcile style with general floor purpose. You would think, such an universal and inexhaustible tune as this very “After Dark” can only be a lucky hit. But no, he’s knocking out the classic material just like that. Another example? Catalog number KM028, his brandnew “Trilogy” EP.
The titletrack on A initially places a synth arpeggio behind a kick that in dryness is hardly to excel. The beat of "Trilogy" is then seasoned with rimshot patterns until the saturated bassdrum comes in and paves the way to the dancefloor. &ME even refines his knack for stoic grooves on this jam and once again shows his sure feeling for suitable vocal features. Sabotas croon comes devoid of big gestures and still knows the ropes to appeal to the collective mentality of a clubcrowd.
On the flipside, “Woods” is living up to its name from the very beginning. Woody percussions are thumping within an almost subtropical scenario that’s frequently pervaded by mighty synth clouds. And once again, there’s an arpeggio sneaking in that at some point is taking the lead in this strictly instrumental affair. Add a break building that will educe a floor’s complete euphoric potential without going for the rather mindless escalation and there you have it: a B-side that’s actually more of an A-competitor.

After a one and a half year hiatus from the label, Rhombus (@rhombuslabel) co-owner Stefan Z (stefanzaudio) returns with a diverse four track EP of original works. Crafted in three different countries but ultimately engineered and finalized in Berlin, this EP is a concrete example of Stefan's sound and current taste in club music. From the minimal melodies of "Call it Anything" to the relentless grooves of "Let it Go", this EP showcases the gritty moods of house and techno Stefan is known for. Our premiere pick is Muddy Water, a track that dazzled us immediately.

When creating an exclusive new track for his <i>DJ-Kicks</i> mix, Maceo Plex decided to deviate slightly from his comfort zone. “I’m kind of known for a couple of big disco records and some really deep bassline house tracks," he says. "This track is much darker, but still pretty sexy and soulful. The whole thing is dark and futuristic.” Maceo's new track "Galactic Cinema" anchors his mix, which is available April 30th on !K7.

A two track EP featuring both new Maceo Plex tracks from <i>DJ-Kicks</i> ("Galactic Cinema" and "Mind On Fire") will be available on Beatport on April 15th.
