I've never known what to title this song. 
It breaks my heart that I wrote it but it's honest and it tells a side of being a young parent that we don't often talk about. 
Trying to find that balance of being my own person and also being a parent has been the hardest and I often feel ridiculed and I hear hurtful comments about the choices I make and it's hard not to absorb them. 
My time is filled with much less melancholy that it used to be when I first wrote this song and maybe there's a growing detachment to the words which is why I'm able to put it out there now and not then. 
The dawning that I'm closer to 30 when I feel I've barely got to experience my 20's is a looming feeling but I can recognise that I have such a beautiful gift and although my life is somewhat unconventional, everyday I learn to cherish it in a new way. 

"I'm just young and too responsible
and I just want it to end but it's impossible
it's so hard for me to just be
